I think you missed the analogy.
Rocks are bulky, raw and hard in shape. Pillows are round and soft in shape. Pretty much a reference to anatomy books way of teaching you how to think and draw male and female bodies.

Regardless, you should stay away from using white as a highlight in skin tones, it hardly ever
gives off a pure white highlight, this chart's really helpful in this aspect:

So yeah, stay away from the two tone shading and sketchy lines.
Also, sort your lightsources out, the eyes' highlights don't match up with the body's or the cap's.
Such a bright direct highlight on his cheekbone should show up on his pecs etc. Since it looks
like it's coming fromt he front,there should be more of that on the body. Uhh the highlight on
his cheekbone shouldn't be so harsh either, since skin is a really matt, uneven surface, the light
diffracts quite a bit, so you hardly ever get a plastic shiny highlight, like that.
His ribs also don't make sense.... You should probably spend more time on his hair as well: his chest
hair looks really coarse... and unrealistic.
