Yes. This looks fun. I always wanted to ride a bike made from scrap parts, held together by electrical tape.
Day 1: Man finds disassembled bike; thinks "Hey, I can fix this." Day 2: Man has no clue what he's doing; bike comes out fuck-horrible, with backwards frame, no pedals, and retardedly low handlebars. Bike is utterly unrideable, except for downhill, leaning REAL far forward. Day 3: Man invents new "sport" involving shitty bike. Posts video on YouTube. Day 4: Facepunch post. Is that about it?
Yeah OP, die. I dunno this looks like it could be fun, a different sensation of sorts. Why is everybody so pissed hahahaha
so your guys are saying street luging is dumb too right? Basically you can do it with a skateboard.
so your guys are saying street luging is dumb too right? Basically you can do it with a skateboard.
A street luge is better than a skateboard for lying on your back and luging down a hill. This is just a bike with no pedals. For no purpose. You can't even go that fast on this, I suspect BMX wheels and tires aren't as well suited for fast downhill as a road bike is, you'll probably be more wobbly. It's harsh to say it's dumb, but it is impractical and kind of silly.
but look at the early days of street luge. people thought it was dumb to lay on your back on your skateboard. What if the guy made a better bike made for this and not a bmx bike with out pedals.
This is dumb. Unless it is accepted as a sport and bike companies are actually producing these type of bikes.
It doesn't look like you are going any faster than you would on a normal bike.
Does It Blend?
I can understand the attraction to building a bike lower to the ground, if not for speed then for the sensation; I just kind of think you should actually put effort into it and design a custom frame that performs better and doesn't look dumb.
Kinda intrigued by this since I have a spare BMX frame lying around that someone was throwing out because the singlespeed was slipping. Strikes me it would probably be cheaper to buy a longboard and try out street luge.
... With a longboard? Why not a street luge board?
Because then you can longboard like a cool kid too. Versatile.

Pedals come as DLC.
... With a longboard? Why not a street luge board?
There is a street luge board? I've always thought they just use longboards to street luge.
There is a street luge board? I've always thought they just use longboards to street luge.
You can use longboards for it but actual luge boards have a pole going down the centre with footrests on the end. They sometimes have handholds too:
GO FAST!
The font was originally normal but he went so fast they turned italic.
