What is it with kids capitalizing every word in a sentence?
So, are shotguns at all useful in CQB? I'm considering picking up a cheap stockless tri-shot to carry as a loaner, sidearm, and/or CQB gun. It's more just for the novelty of owning it and to have something cheap to loan to friends, but it'd be nice if it were viable in of itself.

Why make your kit heavier and waste molle space on your rig to carry a handgun and extra mags for it when you can just get more primary weapon mags?

Stockless could work. A full stock would be too long probably. No stock or adjusting (like on the Benelli M3) would also work.

I'm thinking of using either a slim MOLLE shotgun scabbard on my back, or simple restraining straps, to make it easier to carry as a secondary. The model I was looking at is the DE/UTG tri-shot M3 (the Marushin clone).
KTW or TM Spas-12 master race

I'm interested in the TM SPAS-12, but it's still $200 for what amounts to a plastic springer, and I can't find it anywhere.

This. It's cheap so I'm not expecting much, I just want to know if it'll be something I'll have just for the fun of having it or if it'll actually be useful.
I think Ender had one of those. Should be perfect for CQB, besides being spring.
-Fuck it-
Because i Fucking Want To Capitalize All Words, Deal With It Bitch.
And i had a Tokyo Marui M3(Replica.)i liked it. Because.
-Pwns on CQB
-Can hold some Aeg's(to me at least.)
-Great backup
At airsoft G.I. it comes with 2 shells.there is a extra shotshell pack.Comes w/6 shells.
A real man takes the sawn off shotgun HS makes as a secondary, use a standard Molle hydration pouch as a holster.

It would be hard to pull the shotgun all the way out of the scabbard if you're strapping it to your back. That or it would look awkward and slightly stupid.
I have a feeling a sling might be better anyway. And cheaper.

I guess you're proud of looking dumb, good for you.

Vertical scabbard, pulled over the shoulder. Think Hicks from Aliens. The reason is that it's much more secure and less intrusive than another sling, when I already have a sling on my rifle.

Is much more secure any way,but slings are cheaper and can be faster.
The sling on my Tokyo Marui M3 helps alot and is very fast to draw the shotgun so it's ideal for backup.
Going with a sling is a better idea.
And forget that capitalization mess.

I think there are quite a few slings on the market designed for use with short barreled breaching shotguns, if you go with a sling it's probably the best option.
I'm not seeing why a sling would be preferable with a sidearm. The point of a scabbard is to keep the shotgun secure when moving. Having a sling on a shotgun plus a sling on a rifle and trying to switch between them would be awkward at best.

Still, I don't like scabbards. You pretty much muzzle sweep everyone behind you during your draw, and it's a pain to stow.
You pretty much muzzle sweep everyone behind you during your draw, and it's a pain to stow.
Drawing it is just reaching back to release the securing strap, then pulling it up and to the side, and once out flipping it over into a ready position. You would of course keep it uncocked until after drawing it. Retrieving a shotgun slung over your shoulder does a horizontal sweep too, only at chest level. How's it any different?
Stowing is a valid concern, but if I have to draw my sidearm, my primary is either out of ammo or non-functional, so I'm probably not going to need to switch back to it in a hurry.
