Seems awkward as fuck lifting something over your shoulder.
Drawing it is just reaching back to release the securing strap, then pulling it up and to the side, and once out flipping it over into a ready position. You would of course keep it uncocked until after drawing it. Retrieving a shotgun slung over your shoulder does a horizontal sweep too, only at chest level. How's it any different?
Stowing is a valid concern, but if I have to draw my sidearm, my primary is either out of ammo or non-functional, so I'm probably not going to need to switch back to it in a hurry.
What I mean by slinging the shotgun is more like dangling it by a one point sling. It should just rest near your side most all of the time.
In CQB you really just need to listen and be alert. Being able to "cut the pie" is also an extremely valuable skill, but in the end in CQB you need to move fast and not be afraid to move forward while still keeping alert.
The average human has an automated panic reflex when approached by highly kinetic foes, a multitude of overwhelming sensory inputs and sporadic, unpredictable behaviour. It is a good idea to take advantage of this in any combat situation you find yourself in.
So, Run around, scream and fire your weapon at random. That'll learn the fucker.
[sp]No, I am not being serious.[/sp]
In CQB I like to run around with my 1911 and rubber tomahawk

like this?

Yeah basically :v:
Ive experinced that when i have to deal with a CQB situation, the Best thing to do is to Keep your gun aimed at wherever your looking AT ALL TIMES, it shortens the time between, Seeing a target, identifying the target and Aiming your weapon.
I would also Imply that having a lose but still secure grip of the gun/trigger is a very good thing in tense CQB situations. Alot of mistakes like friendly fire or accidental weapon discharges due to enemies scarring the shit out of you happen because of this. :v:
Another tip is to invest in a Dot sight. It really doesn't need to be super expensive, Mine is five dollars.
It just needs to be steady enough to keep the laser to where you adjusted it. This way it cant flop around while you run. And Be sure that you don't but a dot Scope. The whole point of a dot sight is for quick effective acquisition of targets, WITHOUT sacrificing your peripheral vision.
A good set of Camo is always important as well. If your going to play in an urban/grey environment. I would suggest that you get some ACU Bdu's or something all black.
And if your in a more woodland environment, well get some woodland camo... its not that hard.
Just don't run around with Fucking Blue tiger camo. It just looks dumb. and won't help you at all
Just remember that camo is more efficient than you think, The difference in your appointment's reaction time depends on how there eyes resister you, if you blend in. Obviously that time will be a bit longer, Not catastrophically longer, but enough for you to see him first and hopefully get off the first shot.
And a Quick tip for balaclava lovers like me. Sadly I wouldn't suggest wearing one if you sweat allot, you will fog like a bitch.
OR if you don't sweat allot, I would suggest sticking your nose out (if you have a single holed mask) it really helps with the fog
Well I hope this helped someone out there :v:

black = worst camo possible
blue tiger would be hella more effective (which isn't saying much if you're wearing BLACK) and you must be high, it looks cool as fuck
(here's OMON, or more affectionately known as HOMO, fielding the intimidating, yet fashionable, shadow kamysh)

That is actually a cool tiger variant, But ive seen kids with like VIBRANT blur tiger Camo. Its disappointing. Black is my personal favorite for indoors, I like to hide in dark corners/under shit, Because I'm a rat like that.
but if you're hiding in a dark corner
wearing black would make you darker than the corner
normal camo gets affected by shadows too you know

Thats... Actually really true.. Fuck
-Just because you can't see them doesn't mean they can't see you.
Really, I've seen so many people do this. They hide behind a corner with their arm or side poking out.
EDIT: Found this post from years ago holy smokes it was stupid
