Yay my bass sold on ebay, got £100. Gonna put that towards paints and new parts for my parts-caster :p
This was recorded on the Crunch channel of my Bugera 6262, no pedals, with my Agile Harm 1 w/P90's Three riff's I recorded just for practice with recording, and for use in the future. Also, I'm starting to notice the harshness of my EMG's in my Horizon, so I am now considering getting them replaced with Seymour Duncan JB (B) / '59 (N) p.u.'s like in the ESP Standard model. I also might be selling my Hardwire TL-2 Metal Distortion as it doesn't quite suit my needs anymore as I have found a great setting on my amp's distortion, and it was originally for my Marshall 250DFX as the distortion was lacking. I'll keep my EQ pedal though, even though I'm not using it atm, I may put it in the FX loop for some minor tweaks. Edit: Just went and jammed some more, and I take back what I said about my EMG's, they most likely won't be getting replaced :v:
EMG's are great for everything but clean.
Yeah, they can be lacking. For recording, I can just use my Semi-hollow though.

yes, mostly semi acoustic ones.
EMG's are great for everything but clean.
Which is why I love my coil-tapped EMG's.
Active****** EMGs, sorry :(
Oh no they're active. Just I can pull up either potentiometer and suddenly only one coil from the selected pickup(s) is on, allowing for much nicer cleans.

Just wanted to throw a nicer picture in here :)
Got the money for the bass a sold on the way to my bank now. I'll have the paints I want for the guitar im building on friday and hopefully my brother in laws dad has the type of sander I want so I can get to work on refinishing the body.
errgh I can't decide if I want my next guitar to be a seven string or a semi-hollow body blues or fusion that is the question
seven string hollow body! there's always the custom route brah
Get a semi-hollowbody and tune the guitar to all 4ths, bam, fusion guitar with 6 strings and semi-hollowbody. :p
Get a semi-hollowbody and tune the guitar to all 4ths, bam, fusion guitar with 6 strings and semi-hollowbody. :p
Why all fourths
Makes it easier to move around and doing certing things while playing fusiony stuff. Basically only B changes, I forget what to but yeah..
Which is why I love my coil-tapped EMG's.
Not a fan.
currently in love with A National Acrobat and metallica's cover Sabbra Cadabra, here's my little go (rough wip) at the main riff, still need to nail the amp sound to that Sabbath Bloody Sabbath style. Played it in Standard tuned instead of the crazy concoction Sabbath uses, i think it still sounds ok. Thinking of doing a full cover if i can get the bass and drums down. And not fuck up the guitar haha.
I don't see any paint unless maybe you mean the black paint on the hardware
Dat dye job, whatever. Dem colours, now happy?
no 'dat finish' is what we were looking for
no 'dat finish' is what we were looking for
Colours, finish, it's all the same.
i fucking love the ehx big muff it's the greatest pedal every built. here's a very bad, very noisey, very one-takey, very awfully double tracked recording of the riff from have love will travel, in a more black keys-ey feel. basically i recorded the riff once with the double muff which is more like a clean breakup/overdrive and then used the big muff to fuzz the fuzz out of it. best pedal.
I need a Big Muff. I've got an FZ-2 which is more of a metal fuzz/stortion pedal, it's amazing, but I could do with something a bit more mid-gainy They sound fucking amazing :buddy:
I bought mine a couple of months ago and it's already scuffed to hell through so much use. It's a great pedal. Look into the Double Muff too if you want something to compliment it amazingly well. My basic set up is to slightly overdrive the amp it's self and then crank the double muff all the way really then use the volume knob on the guitar to control how clean or gainy it is.. and then when you just want to rip the speaker out of the amp stomp on the big muff with the tone around 9 o clock and sustain at 12. I love "my tone" <3
I have an electric guitar but I feel that I would play more if I had one acoustic, the thing I'm wondering is if it's worth to sell my electric guitar to buy an acoustic or to trade it for an acoustic or just keep it and save for an acoustic. I am not planning on working with music but I like to play guitar and it's a fun hobby.
I've gone from using my GE-7 Equalizer, and my TL-2 Distortion through my clean channel, to just using amp distortion. It just isn't the same to me.
