Distorted bass, obviously?
No, I crank my amp up and put my bass directly in front of it, the noise from the amp, vibrated the strings, which go back into the amp, creating a loop. I think feedback will sound especially good with a delay pedal, but it would be harder to build it up.

Agiles look really good.
and then you'll give it to me
After you give me $900 :v
but they're only like 800 aren't they that's way too bit a profit
John Mayer is using a Marshall in his lineup now.. interesting, I think it's a Plexi. Can't wait to hear his new material, I get the feeling he's going to break out some Hendrix tones, since he was all about SRV for ages.. trying something new perhaps. Not that his Hendrix tone wasn't already godly.. but getting a Plexi in there is a good sign.

Is that Steve Jobs' boring twin brother on drums?
but they're only like 800 aren't they that's way too bit a profit
It's 1/8th of the cost, it's a perfectly fine profit.
I was bored :v: again....
I was just about to order my El Capistan since I just got my money on and I could have had it bright and early this Tuesday but nooooo they have to go out of stock on THE DAY I get paid. Fuckers.
I went to see two of my friends bands play. Is it just me, or do people over-exaggerate how good certain bands are? One of them was boring, but had a great drummer. The other was more of a stage show rather a band. 2 Sax's, a trumpet, two guitars, two singers, a bassist and drummer. That's 9 people. [editline]15th May 2011[/editline] And the keyboardist was grounded, lol. that would've been 10
What if someone, say, doesn't like Djent? Just throwing that out there.
OMG WUT R U TALKIN BOUT METAL IZ MY LYFE!1!! But actually, 8 and 7-strings actually work better for jazzy experimental stuff than for djent. Actually, aside from math metal I really don't like most djent.

Actually, aside from math metal I really don't like most djent.
Never got what "djent" means. Seems like one of those silly words like "dub" ($20? Layering? Sex? A reggae thing based on the other three? And what does this imply for dubstep?) to me. But I don't think string count implies suitability towards certain genres, at least until you get into crazy quantities. My 7 still works fine for playing everything from Dire Straits to 80s-ey hairmetal crap and even a little country, just as well as the modded EMGs would imply it can do Rammstein. The only difference between it an a 6'er is you can swap freely between 'em without a lot of retuning fuss. Also, it puts the range more in line with cellos, and cellos are rad. It's not like everybody wants more strings just to make the guitar more like a keyboard and thus better suited to stuff with thicker chords and no crunch, or the opposite because they don't know baritone guitars exist. Heck, only reason I want an 8 is because it seems like a way to make some chords easier for rhythm stuff, but basically being a 7 beyond that. Well, that and tuned normally you could do sweet counterpoint stuff shooting high and low of a cello, leaving basses for more rumbly atmospheric stuff. All neoclassical-except-fuck-you-this-mix-is-gonna-be-thicker-than-a-concrete-mixer. The only time you're really saying "this instrument is for things which are of clean tone and nothing else" is when you're playing something crazy like a 12 string bass or wide 9/10/+ guitar. 'Cuz then, sure, you're basically looking at a slab of a piano that's almost impossible to play without gentle hands crap. Has anyone ever played a really big scale guitar with mallets? That seems like it should be a thing.
Yeah, people seem to think that somehow 7/8 strings are magically more capable of lower tunings. The truth is, a six string is just as capable when you put a heavier set of strings on it. It's the longer scale length that is the important factor in making a guitar more suited to lower tunings.

http://www.rondomusic.com/interceptorprob828ebtribalred.html Djent motherfucker
Fuck djent, jazz or classical is way more fun to play. [sp]I still like ''djent'' a lot though, but to get an 8-string just for that is silly.[/sp]
djent is no fun [editline]16th May 2011[/editline] and 8 string guitar just means more expensive to restring, very few songs actually go that low
djent is no fun [editline]16th May 2011[/editline] and 8 string guitar just means more expensive to restring, very few songs actually go that low
I know quite a few songs that go as low as a F# standard or even lower. People tend to forget that ''djent'' is used to describe a metallic sounding 4-note powerchord.
7-string anyone? 8-string anyone?
Fuck yeah Charlie Hunter is the man. Man sure knows how to groove
Korg Pitchblack Tuner and a modded Boss SD-1 arriving tomorrow. The SD-1 mod converts it to be more tubesceamer-ish and has a switch for asymmetrical or symmetrical clipping diodes. Fuzz Face arriving later this week and whenever GuitarGuitar get their new stock in I'll be buying the El Capistan. Pedalmania, I know :p
goddamnit las [editline]16th May 2011[/editline] just a buy a freaking axe fx and be done with it
Gonna be buying a Boss DS-1 today cant wait.
goddamnit las [editline]16th May 2011[/editline] just a buy a freaking axe fx and be done with it
I don't want something like that for the same reason I don't want a multi-fx unit. I love having tones of pedals and knobbies to adjust to my liking and have there right infront of me and pedalboards are awesome. [editline]16th May 2011[/editline] Oh yeah.. got this Westfield Goldtop Les Paul today off of a friend dirt cheap. Looks damn nice.. plays nice, sounds alright too.. just a shame it has Westfield slapped on the headstock. It also has a Strat-scale bolt on neck so it's not all squished in like regular Les Pauls.. which was one of the selling points for me.
