thinking about getting a decent octave/fuzz pedal, any suggestions? [editline]23rd May 2011[/editline] I looked at the octavia but it's a bit too warm (and expensive) for my tastes. The Fillmore Thunder looks and sounds really nice but again is a lot more expensive than I can handle.

Oh.. do you want octave up or octave down? And I can't really hear what the problem is.. it sounds like it isn't tracking very well. What octave pedal is it?

it was both ways when I got it but signals keep cutting out. it's some homemade pedal I got at a flea market for $15 I opened it up to try and fix that issue where I had to jar it to get it working and it was all on a breadboard :v:

Ah. Welp.. the Octavio is what I would go for but that's because I want that specific sound. Octave fuzz is pretty samey most of the time so it'll be hard to find something different.

Just my luck. My pedals finally arrive, and my old practice amp (the only amp I currently have access to) decides that this is an excellent time to not work for no apparent reason.

What is a good amp to use pedals on, I was thinking of some kind of orange amp... This motivated me to start my own pedal collection sometime. :v:

There are so many instruments and effects I want right now it's not even funny. I want that digitech expression pedal, waiting on my deviever fuzz effect, want that Godin radiator, want a new normal scale mandolin, a republic Miniolian, and now I'm jonesin' for a Weissenborn. I need a better paying job :(

Orange amps arent the best for taking pedals.. they're not exactly known for having good clean sounds.

I'm planning on buying a guitar from a friend, with no experience. How do I learn to play guitar? Or what would you guys recommend?

You are more likely to like the instrument too when you have a good teacher because you usually progress faster with a teacher.
