[QUOTE=CheeserCrice;30103465]Guys I'm going to purchase a new guitar pretty soon, and in particular I've been looking at the Epiphone casino; how do you guys think it compares to similar arch tops such as the Dot? Style of playing is mostly rock, blues and jazz. Thanks :)[/QUOTE]
Casino's a solid guitar, they're pretty well built for the price. Based on general Epiphone experience I wouldn't get too attached to the electronics though
Alright so I'm gonna be building a new Manson replica and I was just wondering, what should I use to start out with? I've never done a mirror guitar and I'll need to figure out how to do the lasers. Fuzz factory and bareknuckle nailbomb pickups are already purchased.

Here's what I'm aiming for

Even Manson considers the lasers a horrible idea looking back, they added a miserable amount of weight to the guitar and required shit tons of routing. Also Bellamy's guitars have a Nailbomb bridge and a neck Mississippi Queen IIRC

Unfortunately I didn't get to hold the laser but I got to hold his M1D1 when I met him at KFMA 2010
Holy crap .. ok I'm sold on the Pod HD400.
Around July 8-9th I'll own one, I'm calling it a birthday present to justfy spending £350 on it.

And on top of that I don't even find that guitar good looking...

Good deal.
I can't wait until they finally phase out the existing Pod X3 rackmount and make an HD model.
Fucking hell. Getting all inspired here by old metal (and Disturbed for some reason...must be the melodies) and as soon as I get my headphones on my guitar goes back to going CHOOMBA CRONK PRUBT. Those new pups can't get here fast enough.
The vibroverb is the way I want to go. I'm sold. I played one for sale in my local shop, it's brown and hot as fuck. The guy knows me because I come in everyday so I could buy it for 5%-10% off. It's a handwired clone and costs around $1000. So I get to save up all summer to hopefully buy it.
I'm going to office depot tomorrow to buy a ton of business cards and then I'm going to go around the neighborhood advertising to mow lawns.

You have no idea how much I dislike you right now.
totla mad is about 50% done if anyone cares
I'm going to be doing something like Deggie. I'm going to learn all of Glasgow Kiss and Damage Control by John Petrucci. I've already got most of Glasgow Kiss down. Learnt the first solo (apart from one bar of ridiculous tapping) tonight.
onel ast thing to learn then i'm all set. i'll record once i get it all in my head :))
Decided to opt for the Pod HD500 over the 400, it's a tad more expensive but it has the full sized user interface and a few more useful features I can warrant paying extra for.
Anyone got any experience with Bugera amps? I'm looking at getting a V55HD or mayber a 1990 as my next purchase, I'm in need of a tube amp.
get a peavey 6505+ combo
bugera is pretty much a peavey ripoff
[editline]29th May 2011[/editline]
it's a bit more expensive, a lot more expensive if you already have a cabinet
[editline]29th May 2011[/editline]
they sound okay though...

I really don't like the sound of the 6505 actually. The 6262 is a massive peavey ripoff, but the V55HD sounds completely different.
Right now I'm also thinking of waiting a while and picking up a Blackstar HT-100H

So he asks about either the Marshall clone or Bugera's original line and you recommend a Peavey?
:golfclap:
I know I don't really post here often but uh. Well, here I go. I just graduated from high school and I have a graduation present to cash in. Probably budgeted about $1000usd. I already have a partscaster, a Rhoads hardtail V, an Ibanez artist and an Ibanez artwood acoustic. What should I get, guitar-related? (I have a Crate solidstate head and cab)
all done with totla mad, just gotta practice it some more
does anyone know a good 3-humbucker guitar under 1000 dollars?
One of the Epiphone SG Customs has 3 hums I believe. Why do you want 3 exactly?
Yep. Epi SG Custom with 3 humbuckers.

I have a new favorite guitar:

Got to play that today through an Orange Tiny Terror :v:
Also played a Epiphone Nighthawk, good little guitar for the money.
are bareknuckle warpigs active?
No Bareknuckles are active, but the most active sounding is the Miracle Man
