If you're calling it that you best be prepared to take a pic of yourself sitting on it.

Dat strat!
My friend and I are working on a music project that combines themes/inspiration from various psychedelic rock, post rock, ambient and soundscape music.
I don't mean this in a cocky way and I'm probably wrong but one of our songs just feels like a "classic" song that "makes" a band what they become, if that makes sense. It's just a very enigmatic song yet it's really simple. I hope it does well when we finish recording it, which we're doing completely by our selves.
The name we are using for the project is kiiiind of cliche but I don't think it's actually used, it's a simple play on words of a title from a somewhat relevant movie icon.
Too much ambiguity? good :p
Will post some demo's soon. We're writing and recording any chance we get.
I already said I knew about the quality issues in that range, in the post I assume you're replying too :p

Fuuuuuuuuuck me this is the first time I've seen an Ibanez and instantly fell in love with it.
The look, the sound (from what I can tell in a handful of review videos).
Tempting.

Ehhh not so much sorry. I'm kind of picky when it comes to guitar looks. It's a bit silly but if the guitar doesn't look good (to me) generally I won't be interested despite how good it may be.

Just got it in the mail...
This is what i have so far.

I think everyone is that way
I've literally taken my guitar apart and together again and still cant see what's wrong with it :smith:
I guess I'll have to take it into a shop

You guys are making me want to build another guitar, stop it!
Go for it
Go for it
My first isn't even finished :v:
Speaking of, I'll take a new pic of it.

The painters put their brand in the humbucker cavities, but those will be covered in copper tape :v:
I'm thinking I'm going to build a guitar in woodshop next year
Trying to decide whether to do a tele shape or make my own

Make your own.

You should make an original shape, or at least a unique version of an existing shape.
Hm. My fingers smell of rust.
I should replace my strings.
Yeah, I was leaning towards that too
It's just that all the good shapes I can fathom at the moment are already made, and lots of bad ones too

All good shapes are taken, pretty much. I say, take a shape you like, and improve on it
Hmm, what about, a shape that is to a Telecaster what a Superstrat is to a Stratocaster? Could be interesting or horribad.

Something like that is what I would call a supertele :v:
There is something about Hufschmid's I simply cannot like. I don't know what it is but something always puts me off.
For one, his ideas in terms of luthierie do seem to oppose mine. He's very narrow minded in terms of what he will and won't do, which (to me), considering people are paying him to make the instrument they want, is somewhat hypocritical.

I'm not a massive fan of how his guitars look or his methods either, but I can still respect his skill in luthiery. And a few of his guitars do look absolutely gorgeous, like the Firedroids.
His work can be great, but knowing he made them puts me off :v:

I want a stained wood strat with black pickup covers, black pickguard with the white layer, brass bridge, black saddles, a rosewood fretboard, and something in the back that will allow for me to put 13 strings on without any floating of the bridge. Some super big springs.
I will name her betty
[editline]ohwow[/editline]
Now that I think about it, Black Betty is a song.
don't forget a bigsby and a boat winch for some sick dive bombs
Taking my guitar to a tech tomorrow to get it set up.
£50 :\ but at least i'll pretty much never need to worry about it acting up for a long time.
A true guitar player would learn how to set up his own guitar.
Besides, only the player can set it up exactly how they want it.
I learned myself how to set up a guitar, it takes trial and error, with a lot of youtube videos.
But now other people pay me to do it :v:
