fecking in love with this wah pedal now.. but i've already been cursed with the "wah face" when i play.
Let's see how many of you can watch this without cringing :v:
Why would you do this to me? The only acceptable tone was the clean, and even that didn't sound right.
How hard is it to replace the white washer around the pickup toggle switch on a Les Paul? The one on my Westfield Les Paul has been rubbed off a bit so some of the letters are missing and it looks a bit dumb. Does anyone have any instructions or something?
any guitar any pickups any amp any strings any picks talent
Pffffft. Let's hear your talent on a Rockster loaded with a Gibson Dirty Fingers, EMG SA-X, and SD Hot Rails, run through an original Spider, strung with chinese no-names and played with a 3mm copper pick.
Also, I need a Verellen Skyhammer
The fuck kind of naming conventions are they using? I'll give you Skyhammer is rad, but...Meat Smoke?
My care cup is empty when confronted with a 300 watt bass amp with a distortion channel. :iia:
Made a few slight mods to my Cry Baby to get a nicer sound out of it. Removed some of the shrill in the treble side and added a bit more bass. Need to replace the 1.5k resistor with a 2.2k one in order to boost the mid-range and make the sweep a bit more consistent but that's cheap and easy.
how would a bigger resistor boost the mids, logic dictates it should be a smaller one, since the cry baby is essentially a variable mid boost.
fecking in love with this wah pedal now.. but i've already been cursed with the "wah face" when i play.
You open and close your mouth with the pedal?? I don't understand.
how would a bigger resistor boost the mids, logic dictates it should be a smaller one, since the cry baby is essentially a variable mid boost.
I was gonna say "which resistor" but I can't find a schematic with one that's 1.5k, unless this is just a quirk of hillbilly block diagrams. Though that said if it's a simple one it's a lowpass filter really and if he's talking about the resistor I think he is all a bigger capacitor would do is make moving the pedal's pot have less of an effect. Which would "smoothen" it out I guess. And dick with the res peak but since I can't read this fucking caveman diagram I can't tell how.
anyone here have a 6505+ combo?
Fake in what way? It's supposed to be a TS9/808 clone. It does a bloody good job of it too. [editline]30th March 2011[/editline] and what amplifier would you guys reccomend to replace my Dean Markley? I'd be looking more for a practice amp, not one of them big cabinets. (although If i had $$$ I'd absolutely buy one of those instead) Is that Peavy Vyper or whatever it's called any good? I've heard that it's better than the line 6 sypder from a friend, but he's 100% anti-line 6, so He might be a little biased.
Oh shit some Fenders have went down in price. Mexi Strats and Teles are only £380 just now. Now that makes me even more tempted to buy a Tele. (They were £419 not long ago)
Huh? I got my Tele for £360 a year ago.
how would a bigger resistor boost the mids, logic dictates it should be a smaller one, since the cry baby is essentially a variable mid boost.
I'm doing it at the recommendation of a seasoned pedal builder and modder. There are various resistors you can change to do different things, the 1.5k resistor happens to help adjust the smoothness of the sweep and give a little mid-range boost, the mid-range boost comes from the fact that the distance between treble and bass becomes longer so it appears that there's actually a midrange.
You open and close your mouth with the pedal??
lol 3 foot thick guitar pick [editline]30th March 2011[/editline] "guitar hero controller" "pickups"
I have an image of a guitar hero controller, with broken strings and pickups gaffataped to it, being played by a guy using two hands to hold the pick.
and he's in a post ironic beardcore band
Well that kind of goes without saying
Just ordered a Dimarzio Super Distortion and PAF Pro for my Horizon, can't wait to finally replace those EMGs :argh:

I just got a 15 watt vypyr and I couldn't be happier. Although I'm a little bummed that I cant hook up a footswitch to it, you might want to get the 30 watt if you want that.
[img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8598216/mission-accomplished1.jpg[/img_thumb] and yes I realize he won't see this [editline]30th March 2011[/editline] the fuckface is funny though I make just as much fun of all of you but ol' lasgunz seems to take it personally [editline]30th March 2011[/editline] and he's in a post ironic beardcore band
The thing is, he still responded to you. But whatever, it's all good.
yeah like I've never directly insulted anyone here and I don't mean to either SO HOW BOUT DEM GUITARS [editline]31st March 2011[/editline]
Just ordered a Dimarzio Super Distortion and PAF Pro for my Horizon, can't wait to finally replace those EMGs :argh:
super dist is going in the bridge I assume
I immediately thought of the Fuzzface when you said fuckface. What if there was a guitar pedal called fuckface. It sounds like a whole bunch of distortion being thrown at you. Or face fucking.
it should be distortion -> reverb -> compressor combined that's what I imagine face fucking to be in audio at least
Your friend is right. I just got a 15 watt vypyr and I couldn't be happier. Just wasn't sure if I should take his word cause As I said, he's a Peavy Fanboy :v:. [editline]30th March 2011[/editline] and all I've got is a Wah, so I don't need to worry about footswitches. [editline]Pageking[/editline] Oh god....Ummmm.....CONTENT! If I built a guitar It would look like that! but maybe a different color. And not MS Painted. Like a Dean Splittail, but it's a bit different. Some people think it's dumb. I came up with it (then found out it has been done :saddowns:). I was proud of myself anyway. 1,111st post!
[img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8598216/facefuck.png[/img_thumb] fucking five star audio
I have not used Reason in a loooong time.
it's improved sooo much from version 3 to 5
Just ordered a Dimarzio Super Distortion and PAF Pro for my Horizon, can't wait to finally replace those EMGs :argh:
I'm half surprised I'm not the only one feeling that way right now. Though at least the kind of music you like isn't done with EMGs...I'm surprised by just how much I'm now convinced they're shit while still liking artists who use them (including the ones I'm using.) It feels like I've failed in a way. Then I remember I had an easier time getting decent sounds out of the no-name chinese singlecoils in my the Peavey teleclone I started on and the wrath comes right back. If I get a change I'll maybe post a spectrum snapshot of these compared to a bass, it's unbelievable. You have any opinion on my replacement besides what Knorre and Dopey already mentioned with the crunchlabs?
[img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8598216/facefuck.png[/img_thumb] fucking five star audio
The input display isn't very fine but there was a speck of "this jack exists" noise coming in.
