The only Celestion I could find was this http://www.thomann.de/se/kustom_hv412b.htm I suppose it's a better choice than a crappy Bugera speaker.

I'm avoiding Harley Bentons because they're Thomanns own brand made for beginners.
I'm avoiding Harley Bentons because they're Thomann's own brand made for beginners.
But they're loaded with vintage 30s and sell really well.
Yeah, I'd avoid Harley Benton gear .. but it's hard to make a bad speaker cab (short of wiring it like a twat or purposely making it not work).
thomann is a stand up site, the fact that they make it doesn't mean it's not quality, they make good stuff. Just like musicstores "Fame" they make some great guitar stuff all around.
The instruments are crap, but the amps are really good.
Yeah, for the 1x12, the 2x12 is like $1K new. Just for the 6505, I'd imagine the + is more http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Peavey-6505-212-Combo-2x12-Guitar-Amp?sku=481433
Oh yeah it is a 1x12 But my local Guitar Center has the 6505+ 1x12 for $599. [editline]6th April 2011[/editline]
But they're loaded with vintage 30s and sell really well.
Why does it not surprise me that you're a Celestion fanboy? :v:
My dad and I are going to pick up supplies today to build my own pedal board :D
Thomann's incredibly cheap stuff is bad, yes. I have experience with the bass that they sell for £70. Bad move on my part. But, one of my band's guitarists has bought a Marshall MA50H and Harley Benton G212 Vintage cab. It uses a good brand of speakers (I can't remember which) but it's just made my them so it's cheaper than a Marshall cab would be. It's got good sound to it too, which is why out other guitarist is getting the same thing. Speaking of amps, is the Ashdown Five-Fifteen mini stack a good buy? I'm thinking of getting it instead of a random head and cab combo.
cool stuff, remember to use velcro! [editline]6th April 2011[/editline]
My dad and I are going to pick up supplies today to build my own pedal board :D
Yeah the DIY megastore we're going to has plenty of that both the stuff I lay on the pedalboard permanently and the hook velcro for the foot of the pedals. Looking foward to this :D Just need to find a case to fit it for transport.

I'm thinking about getting a pedal board, any suggestions for what devices I should buy for it? I'm thinking a tuner, a wah-wah pedal and a foot switch that can amplify the signal so I can turn on and off distortion with a foot press. [editline]6th April 2011[/editline] Holy shit foot switches are expensive considering how simple devices they are.
thats why you should make them yourself :D i made a double foot switch for a friends guitar out of an old VCR casette once. [editline]6th April 2011[/editline] it's easier than you might think,
Wah-wah pedal circuits are simple, but the problem would be to make it good mechanically.
I just buy used usually but a friend of mine is building me a fuzz pedal and an octavia style octaver soon, can't wait. My pedal board is gonna be pretty large. 60cm leng, 28cm wide and it will be raised at a slight angle to tilt the pedals towards me. Found a suitable travel bag for it though. Going to pickup the supplies later today.

if I were you LasGunz, I'd save up for a Blackmachine guitar
Does anyone know a good theory book for music, and if possible, for guitar? I want a good explanation of chords and scales, what fits together, why it fits together and a good bunch of example scales and chords.
if I were you LasGunz, I'd save up for a Blackmachine guitar
Enjoy waiting until the end of time

Wattage never really = power directly. To be completely technical wattage is logarithmic, so a 10 watt amp SHOULD only be half the volume of a 100 watt amp. Of course things like speaker size, components, valves and equalisation will all have an effect on volume
Why do you have so many guitars? D: I just don't get it. I used the same bass for a year and just upgraded because I wanted a five string and it was on sale for cheap.
I like the idea of having different basses/guitars for different things, but I couldn't collect strats or the same type of guitar like LasGuns does. Las, I'm surprised you mentioned x-box games rather than guitars as stuff you can buy with the youtube videos in the video.
the only reason I'd have multiple guitars is for different tunings [editline]6th April 2011[/editline] I don't feel any other need for many guitars
Beats me why you're getting all those effects, why not spend the money on a nice tube amp or something?
I have a decent enough income to afford both if I want but currently theres no point in me investing in a good tube amp when I'm playing at home where it's already "too loud" using my modelling amp with wattage control and everything. I'm getting all these effects because I use them and it broadens my available sounds.

They seem to be well priced on their site. Also, try and find a Bugera 6262 to play in person to make sure you do like it. Because, who knows, you might not like it for some reason. I personally really like mine, and some other guy on here has one as well, but it's best if you play it yourself. Actually, those demos on there site are pretty good. I could make mine sound like that with some tweaking. There are also other Bugeras like the 1990 that sounds almost identical to a JCM 900.
