directional cables. people believe that if the signal only travels in one direction it produces a higher quality/more consistent signal.
probably doesnt make much of a difference outside of a studio setting.
I know people who use directional patchleads for their pedal chains so they're consistent.
It just randomly started doing this. I don't remember it doing that when I bought it. And I don't remember it saying anything like that on the packaging. It's a $20 Planet Waves (I think thats the company) cable that I got cause I needed one and I heard good things about them.
Not all directional cables will "not" have a signal in one direction while having one in the opposite, it might sound different one way compared to the other.

Oh, I have that cable. That's probably just a general wear issue- the little rubber sockets on the end deform over time and don't seat perfectly anymore (on mine it was noticeable from when I bought it but just got worse from there.) So if you put it in a certain way it sounds like one plug isn't sitting right because, you know, it isn't.
I'm not ever buying another one of them either, the shielding's a bit crap. If I had to pick something cheaper than a Mogami next time I think I'd buy a Livewire (or just buy Mogami anyway because life's too short to worry about spending a few extra bucks on some goddamn cables.)
How do I get my friend, who is an epic drummer, to buy drums? :v:

How can you be an epic drummer if you don't own drums?
thinking of making a partscaster myself.
white strat body, Black pickguard, maple fingerboard and neck, locking tuners, floating bridge.
super distortion in the bridge and then 2 strat pickups in the middle and neck. (HSS)
saw this in another thread, might consider doing this to my partscaster

well, something like it.
There's so much more you could do to that, it just seems a bit unfinished
I ordered a Zoom G2.1Nu, but I got a Zoom G2.1u instead. I am disappointed, but meh I've heard the 1u is good too.
I've always had a problem with multi effect, I'm not sure why
In other news I can't find my bass octave pedal :saddowns:
I'm not really that familiar with electric guitars as I've only messed around with it and never played as much as the classical and acoustic guitar. I hoped that this pedal would make it more fun to play it.
And when I saw that the G2.1Nu was only at $90, I was like, DEAL BITCHES.
But it seems that the store put up the wrong item id and picture, so I got the other one instead. I've mailed them and told them about the error. In fact it could also been a packaging error, which I hope :)
The only Multi effects unit I've ever been impressed by is the AdenaLinn series, my mate has the AdenaLinn III and it's awesome.
John Mayer uses one (amongst others) for a lot of his songs most distinct effects. They're not so common though. It was £300 new.
Having a lot of effects in one box really does make it very fun to play on the electric
When I got my first one it really made me more driven to play

musikbörsen or?
Nah it was actually NetonNet. It was on a "stock clearing sale"(I don't know what it is called in English), I guess people don't buy music equipment there.

And then after a while you find out you don't actually need that much effects.
G2.1Nu is 1400 sek at thomann, that's probably as cheap as it gets. can't find the g2.1u though

so it was probably the wrong id

I feel completely the opposite. If I have everything mashed into one box it actually limits my control, sure everything is there ready to use.. one at a time. I can't stack effects, I can't tweak them on the fly, I'm stuck using either presets/banks or tweaking away at a custom one only to be unhappy with it minutes later.
With a pedalboard and lots of indivudual pedals not only do I have superior control of everything at once but in general it all sounds far better because every single pedal is purpose-built to do that one effect it does.. like if i went fishing in a car that also worked as a boat it would be cool.. but a boat would be even better, right?
I much prefer individual pedals. They're more expensive but just generally more worthwhile IMO.
Also I played a Jazzmaster I really liked to day, might try nabbing it on finance :3:
I was thinking, maybe i should make a blacked out fender mustang?

Why not a HSH one like Iron Maiden used in Number of the beast.
i don't even know why i visit misha's facebook, i only get sad due to the fact he has the most sexiest guitars, and i have my 'crappy' ESP :smith:

It's not about the guitar, it's about the man behind the guitar.
He probably still blows you out of the water but that is beside the point.
I'm in love with Danelectro, they're just such a cool brand that don't try hard at what they do yet produce some really awesome quality products.
I'm now interested in a heap of their toys. Looking at the Cool Cat Fuzz V2, Cool Cat Transparent Overdrive, Cool Cat Tremolo, Reel Echo (Tape simulator) and even thinking about buying one of their cool vintage single-cutaway guitars.
Go Danelectro!

of course he's better than me, but that's beside the point. he still has sexy guitars.

That's because you're an experienced guitar player now?...
I'm talking about when we were beginners it was obviously fun
my friend has a Boss multi effects, but he wants to get rid of it when he gets his Marshall MA50H head and Harley Benton GA212 cab (it's a good cab according to our other guitarist), and replace his multi effects with a Tubescreamer 808 and I think he already has a Cry Baby.
can't beat a simple setup like that.
I've decided I want to learn to play bass, but I don't really know anything about it at the moment.
I'm not too sure where to start, but I guess actually buying one would be a decent starting point. I'd be looking for something relatively cheap for now (until I'm sure I want to carry on with it), but apart from that I really don't know what else to look for.
There are some really cheap packages on ebay (guitar + amp + cable); would it be worth grabbing one of them?
Would love some advice.
in other news, i'm making a mini stratocaster (not a playable one)
gonna start cuttin' on thursday, done in the weekend. which colors should i have? don't say natural because the wood if fugly

I won't lie, I had an oooooooold Zoom 505 multi effects pedal, I actually still own it but I haven't touched it in years. I like how my pedal board is shaping up.
