I broke up with my band today. They suggested we started wearing makeup, and I said no. So I left. You guys know how to ask people if they want to start a band? Last time it kind of landed in my lap with these guys.
I'd highly reccomend any orange product with the word Terror in it It's so worth the money, best part is I get over my drummer on the 15 4-tube setting on my Dual Terror. That's where I pump it to 6, it really get's the tubes toasty and pumps out a lot of distortion for me (I play in a metal band though) It has a very tasty bluesy overdrive sound though, you can really make it sing
Can't beat the £70 HB. Not even made of plywood, it's composite or some shit.
Basically foam if you split it open.
You guys know how to ask people if they want to start a band? Just email somebody and see what's up. That reminds me, I should start drilling myself on bass since we seem to have a deficit of bassists here. Hate the local music scene, but it'd be a way to make money and I don't have any other instruments I'm good on available ATM.
I'm so impressed by these Epiphone Valve amps.. Skip to 2:36 That's the tone I want from an amp :|
Im more impressed by this what the fuck is up with the media tags
Craigslist is full of offers normally, either guys looking to join a band or people looking for a given player. Just email somebody and see what's up.
That's creepy and sketchy as fuck considering I'm 16.
How do I get my friend, who is an epic drummer, to buy drums? :v:
you pay for them
Im more impressed by this what the fuck is up with the media tags
They've been acting up for a while, had a problem with them and my EMG rant before too. Also I guess that's cool.
That's creepy and sketchy as fuck considering I'm 16.
Well hey I didn't know you were a wee one. I have no idea how you join a band at 16 if you're afraid of the internet and don't already know people who play.
[img_thumb]http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/2512/guitarampchord.jpg[/img_thumb] Well, here's my setup. I can't get any noise to come out of the amp though, it just goes SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECHCHCHHCHCHCHSHCHHHHCHCHHHHCHCHHCHCHHHHHSHHHHHHHHH. The guy at Guitar Center said it was a nice amp, so maybe it's supposed to sound like that
Probably because that amp isn't made for an acoustic guitar...
I'm thinking about writing a song entirely in guitar pro then learning to play it seems like it would be an interesting challenge to write what I want to write then having to deal with playing it

That amp is for electric guitars, the cord isn't a microphone. EDIT: Okay, according to the dumbs, I am missing something.
Better post my gear:
yeah ok so do it
Building my friend a bluesbreaker type pedal. I think I'm going to hand paint the case for it.. might call it a "dirty harry" or something cliché like that. Need to buy some metal paints though.

Why the basswood bashing in this thread? My Schecter is basswood and my buddies JP6 is basswood too, it's a great quality wood (or it can be). Hell I paid £230 for my Schecter and it still has a fantastic sound [editline]13th April 2011[/editline] Also I'm now planning on buying a Verellen. Either a Skyhammer or a modded Loucks. Dat tone

Anybody here know a solution to this? I can tune my guitar fine, but it sounds like the notes are getting out of tune up the fretboard. I was thinking something todo with a bowed neck maybe but I'm not sure. For example I can tune bottom E fine, but if I check what note fret one is, its miles away from F
Your intonation is shot. Plug in a tuner, tune the open note, then fret the 12th fret. If too sharp, move the saddle at the bridge back from the neck. Reverse if flat.

the two large screws at the side of the bridge i think. its been a long time since i used a fixed bridge.
The two screws at the back, which push against the large screws used for adjusting action. The PRS bridges are made to intonate well due to the cutouts made, but sometimes it might take some convincing and some effort
The two large screws would be adjusting action, not intonation.
Also what about if its more or less correct pitch at 12th fret but pretty badly out at 1st, 2nd 3rd? Something to do with the nut?
Could be a truss rod issue, check if your neck is bent. If it is I would recommend a good setup from a reputable shop
I doubt it. Are there no guitar shops with guitar techs near you? It'd be worth having them take a look at it or doing a set up for you.

Going to a friends today for a little jam session and discussing more about the pedal I'm building him.
