Been doing some recordings, still trying to find a decent tone, it's not heavy enough :( I think the guitars need more bass, but they get really muddy after a certain point. Recorded on a £100 strat knock off with a Pod GX (im pro like dat ;) ) Drums with Ezdrummer from a Guitar pro midi export, same for the bass, hence the bad bass.
I just realized how much cleaner my playing sounds when my presence is at 5. Even when the amp is overdriven. how the hell do i say that?
Presense just tightens your treble response in most amps.
Moved my amps and guitars into the basement to prepare for my piano coming in, set up a desk for some composing and what not. The issue is, my basement periodically floods. Most of the time it's minor, less than a mm of water. Every few years we get a foot of water, so all my electrical equipment is a foot off the ground :P. Even my extension wire is taped to the ceiling just in case.
set you back? just go to the store and get a new string
doesnt work like that for me [editline]15th April 2011[/editline]
Moved my amps and guitars into the basement to prepare for my piano coming in, set up a desk for some composing and what not. It's worth it, only place I have to put all my equipment anyway.
well theoretically it could flood to however high the walls are of your basement it doesn't have to be a flood of natural causes
Just discovered how fun it is to play slap acoustic
Quick question: |----|---------------------------------|--------------------------| |----|---------------------------------|--------------------------| |----|---------------------------------|--------------------------| |----|-----x-x-x-----------------------|-----x-x-x----------------| |--0-|-1h3-x-x-x-1h3p1---1-(1)-1h0-----|-----x-x-x-------1--2--0--| |----|-----------------3-----------3-0-|-1-1-------1h2h3----------| What does the (1) mean?
Likely a bend. To verify, listen to the part end spot the bend.
Likely a bend. To verify, listen to the part end spot the bend.
Bend is ^
it's a held note
I thought (3) were ghost notes and tied notes had a "_" I guess it's different for ascii tabs
I always thought they were ghost notes too.
they are according to guitar pro but really a _ would be confusing in an ascii tab
I do actually 'work' and put in effort in order to earn this money.
T'were jest comrade.
oh wait i mean Kab2tract
Hmmmmmm... Well okay since Las is also getting something from them I'll just put this out as a general inquiry. I know nothing about the Bugera brand firsthand, other than by way of holding company they're related to Behringer, which I don't trust to make anything. Plus it looks like from reading reviews and complaints from years past, Bugera's also had undeniable QC issues. What I'm not getting is whether or not they currently have any. On the one hand, you've got guys tearing them apart and taking pics...and then noting that they cheaped out on the case material (like anyone really gives a shit what the name plate is made of), but then somebody else will say they got one with an input that was mismatched (which would actually be a bit annoying) or get a shot of some legitimately fucked wiring. Plus- I've obviously got nothing against knockoffs, but when all of what you see is knockoffs (JCM 900 clone, Peavey clones, what I think is a Mesa clone)...toss it in with the Behringer association and it starts to look a bit scary. Difference between a Zippo in everything but name and a Zippo made out of a beer can, you know? Do they make anything original, and why does the internet portray them as having Schrodinger's QC and construction?
I'm looking to get a bass amp for my Birthday, I have just over £200 to play with but I would rather it around the £100 mark. I would like it to be a modelling amp, as I am playing a few different styles at the moment. I know at my budget I should go for a combo, but does anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking a Line 6 lowdown, but has anyone got bad reviews for them or any better suggestions.

Anything that isn't Behringer
Holy cow, I've never seen so many people jump in rhythm to a song like they did at 1:41

Look for some SOAD from the late 90's and you'll see some shit.
well theoretically it could flood to however high the walls are of your basement it doesn't have to be a flood of natural causes
I'm talking seasonal bro. If my entire basement is flooded I have more to worry about than my guitars (it'd be a heart breaker but homeowners covers it iirc). The point is to prepare for standard parameters.
Ugh something is up with my crappy stock amp, dunno what it is. Might be the cable, but I'm getting nothing but feedback when it's plugged in.
Ugh something is up with my crappy stock amp, dunno what it is. Might be the cable, but I'm getting nothing but feedback when it's plugged in.
Maybe because it's a crappy stock amp, My (bass) amp goes into distortion at around 4 on the volume selector.
Anyways Kingy, remember that amps are personal preference. Take your time trying out amps at the local store. They can't be pissed off at you if they end up with 200 pound
Anyways Kingy, remember that amps are personal preference. Take your time trying out amps at the local store. They can't be pissed off at you if they end up with 200 pound
I am looking for a bass modelling amp, and those are about as well stocked in my local music shop as unicorns, I live in west Wales, where large music store are hard to come by. Also I'm not happy with the features of the line 6 models in my price range, and wanted to know what other companies do bass modelling amps. [editline]15th April 2011[/editline] Also I don't trust my local music store to give me good advice, they charged me £200 for a bass guitar I found out a year later was worth £100 and made me think it was a good deal.
Anything that isn't Behringer
Behringer make some great gear.. it's their compact series of pedals and POD knock-offs that suck. Look up their vintage series of pedals, they ALL kick-ass. I'm fairly certain they're the parent company of Bugera who make ridiculously good amps.. I'm buying a Bugera V22 next month.
behringer is a really great brand but isn't much for reliability.
Does anyone have a Roland cube 100 bass, that looks like something I'm looking for.
i played one of these last week, it's very bluesy
Anyone help me out with the guitar tone, i know the recording isn't 100% but what can I do to it to make it heavier?
Uhh where to start. The guitar sounds somewhat chorused and put into mono mode which sounds really really weird. Do a guitar track without effects only distortion like you like it twice the same riff without mistakes then put one guitar 100% to the left and one 100% to the right which makes that thing tons heavier. The drums are really really weird... with the standalone Ezdrummer everything sounds fine but what did you do to your Ez drummer? There's no kick noticable and it kinda sounds weak, why? Every Ezdrummer pack (including drumkit from hell) that I got sounds way better set on standart than that. (maybe reset drumsettings? What went so wrong with it?) How did you record that?
