Uhh where to start. The guitar sounds somewhat chorused and put into mono mode which sounds really really weird. Do a guitar track without effects only distortion like you like it twice the same riff without mistakes then put one guitar 100% to the left and one 100% to the right which makes that thing tons heavier. The drums are really really weird... with the standalone Ezdrummer everything sounds fine but what did you do to your Ez drummer? There's no kick noticable and it kinda sounds weak, why? Every Ezdrummer pack (including drumkit from hell) that I got sounds way better set on standart than that. (maybe reset drumsettings? What went so wrong with it?) How did you record that?
Thanks. I just recorded through pod farm with audacity, didn't mess with anything, i just think my audactiy mono tracked it, having looked at the project now. There was a sine chorus pedal on in pod farm, my bad, and some reverb. For the drums i outputted a midi file from a guitar pro drum tab, into fruity loops, tracked the midi onto the piano roll and stuck the drumkit from hell on and let it play, exported it as an mp3 to put back into Audacity. Same with the bass hence the really weird bass. I'll reset the drums and see how it sounds, but all the kicks sound really really weak.
I just made this in guitar pro, was too lazy to record the idea myself. Tell me what you all think about it. And I need constructive feedback.
Quick question: |----|---------------------------------|--------------------------| |----|---------------------------------|--------------------------| |----|---------------------------------|--------------------------| |----|-----x-x-x-----------------------|-----x-x-x----------------| |--0-|-1h3-x-x-x-1h3p1---1-(1)-1h0-----|-----x-x-x-------1--2--0--| |----|-----------------3-----------3-0-|-1-1-------1h2h3----------| What does the (1) mean?
One tip, use
tag when posting tabs. Makes it a lot easier to read.
|----|---------------------------------|--------------------------| |----|---------------------------------|--------------------------| |----|---------------------------------|--------------------------| |----|-----x-x-x-----------------------|-----x-x-x----------------| |--0-|-1h3-x-x-x-1h3p1---1-(1)-1h0-----|-----x-x-x-------1--2--0--| |----|-----------------3-----------3-0-|-1-1-------1h2h3----------|
Wow.. I only just properly listened to Joe Bonamassa.. I'm so impressed. He does some stuff I don't like but I can plainly hear his kind of influences through his tracks but it's not like he's trying to copy anyone. Down by the river is an awesome track.
Decided to upload my first cover with my zoom 7.1ut,really like the tone you can get out of it, though I've improve it since drastically.

as I said a couple of pages back, I'm building a mini-stratocaster big pictures ahead gonna paint it (what color?) and do some minor tweakings to the neck, and apply some aluminium mics and bridge, and paint some frets
Is that made from chipboard or particle board? I don't think the strings will go easy on that neck :p
there's not going to be any strings? it's a miniature. it's the size of my hand
there's not going to be any strings? it's a miniature. it's the size of my hand
Dissapointed. :saddowns: [editline]15th April 2011[/editline] ?
there's not going to be any strings? it's a miniature. it's the size of my hand
Couldn't tell the size from the pics other than it was small-scale. Ah well lol
auw i'll see what i can do about strings [editline]15th April 2011[/editline]
Dissapointed. :saddowns: [editline]15th April 2011[/editline] ?
that's cheating, it's paper!
have you altered the equalizer at all?
I used an maximizer, the EQ from EZ a bit, then that Equilaizer2 tool thingy and one compressor for that sound. The snare is ayotte and the kick is the first kick with the EQ thingy on the name as far as I remember, could be wrong tho. Can't really learn you this from 0 to 100 with the maximizer and compressor because it's to much time for me right now but you might test it out since it also comes with drums presets.
Dem ghost pages
Well I bought a black guitar body, this time it is a mexican body in black, not a half ass painted orange squier. But it will cost quite a bit of money and time to refinish a guitar body in orange. Fuckin a So what should I do? Keep it so it is a solid black guitar, or get an orange finish again... Probably will make a decent squier out of the old body and sell it on ebay for ~ $200
I played a gig yesterday and someone gave me two stevie ray vaughan dvds and said I should have them. I don't know what to think of this.
I played a gig yesterday and someone gave me two stevie ray vaughan dvds and said I should have them. I don't know what to think of this.
I think you should just send them to me :)
I'm building my cigar box tomorrow with a comrade and the only issue we're having is how to make the headstock right. One idea I had, was to do what they do on lutes. Rather than a slight angle, a complete 90 degree angle. .What do you think the consequences of this would be? They used to do it on old lutes, I figure if it wont affect tonality it'd be a cool feature.
I don't think 'tonality' is going to be a big deal with a cigar box guitar :p
I don't think 'tonality' is going to be a big deal with a cigar box guitar :p
It's a full scale 6 string guitar, made out of a cigar box. It's still an issue, might as well make it sound as good as I can.
Finally managed to get the sound I was looking for out of the Swollen Pickle Fuzz, really happy I finally dialed it in after a few weeks of tweaking and playing with different setups.
Behringer make some great gear.. it's their compact series of pedals and POD knock-offs that suck. Look up their vintage series of pedals, they ALL kick-ass. I'm fairly certain they're the parent company of Bugera who make ridiculously good amps.. I'm buying a Bugera V22 next month.
Their parent company is a holding company that has it's own bad rep. Hence my Bugera confusion, they're beneath a company known mainly for acquiring and being scrap and lateral to Behringer, which I cannot believe you or anyone else would actually like.

Hence my Bugera confusion, they're beneath a company known mainly for acquiring and being scrap and lateral to Behringer, which I cannot believe you or anyone else would actually like.
Everyone hears Behringer and sees a pedal like this: And synonymously yell "Shit!" which I would gladly join in with.. But when I see these: I think hell yes I want these. They're genuinely good pedals, hell the Tube Overdrive uses real a 12AX7 tube in it. Bugera are as much Behringer as Squier are Fender or Epiphone are Gibson. They're a sub-company run by someone else and "backed" by the parent company.
Broke a string. The High e string. Anyone feeling kind and want to buy me a pack? :3:
Bugera are as much Behringer as Squier are Fender or Epiphone are Gibson. They're a sub-company run by someone else and "backed" by the parent company.
That's an insane thing to say. No offense but I don't think you actually know much of either company. Bugera only produces amps. Tube amps. It's a selling point on their website. Behringer produces fewer amps and what amps they do produce are mostly combos and with modeling tech. There isn't a Bugera listed right now that is a modeler, indeed, google "Bugera Modeling" and you'll instead get Behringer results because they list Bugera speaker components in their shitty combos. If anything, Behringer's amp offerings are inferior to Bugera's, which should be apparent seeing as they tend to cost less as a result. The companies are related by chairman and holding company but neither is to the other what Squier/Epiphone is to Fener/Gibson, they have entirely different product lines and selling points. Put another way, if Bugera were a child company of Behringer I wouldn't have asked about their QC to begin with, because after what I've seen of Behringer's mixers I wouldn't buy a goddamn thing from any company technically underneath them. I'm worried enough that they're in the same holding company chaired by the same guy.
Im trying to get a very "clean" distortion/overdrive sound but this Vox is fundamentally a very dirty sounding amp and the Gain knob just emphasizes that. It's a great sound but I'm to get a very clean "hard rock" sort of overdrive that I'd be able to use for some 70's or 80's stuff. Any pedal suggestions?
Do any of you guys have musicians who are good, but total dick heads?

Bugera amps are Bugera amps.. they're great amps and have nothing to do with Behringers digital/solid state/modelling amps OR any of Behringers questionable product line. Behringer fund Bugera.. Bugera make the amps and Behringer take a cut of the money. I can't tell if you're for or against Bugera right now. I dislike Behringer as much as the next sane guitarist but I do appreciate what little good they actually produce (the Vintage series). I don't care who back Bugera.. they make fine amps and I look forward to owning mine.
Dickheads in the music business, this is unheard of :monocle:
