Have you actually listened to the Trirec demos? It looks like it comes pretty close to the triple rectifier. There are no good outright shootout videos with one yet, but it's enough to get me excited. Then again, I think Amplitube actually has a spot-on triple rec tone, so if you've heard that and dismissed it maybe I don't hear mesas the same way you do. How long it sounds good for and how easily it can be made to sound differently are all valid concerns when buying hardware. Unless those are some damn durable dildos and can be easily swapped for other manufacturer's dildos I'm not interested. :v:
The Bugera V22 is really versatile for me, it's a nice balance between being a british and american voiced amp so I can go from really fat texas blues to british rock fairly easily.. it's not built for high-gain or anything but it takes pedals really well and of course you can swap out it's valves to yours hearts content and plenty of people do if they want more gain and such. I'm probably going to swap out the speaker for a nice Celestion because in any case it's going to sound better than most own-brand speakers in amps.
I usually pay $12 for a set of 3, same type...
I could get them cheaper online I'm sure, But I usually only buy them when I need new ones, and I don't like waiting.
Japanese Schecters are the tits [img_thumb]http://www.schecter.co.jp/ex4ctm/bktq.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://www.schecter.co.jp/ex5ctm/ex5ctmfrtbkch.jpg[/img_thumb]
these put every single schecter I own to shame [editline]16th April 2011[/editline]
Got some strings. 16 USD, man I love living in Sweden...
Mine cost 65 USD plus tax
I could get them cheaper online I'm sure, But I usually only buy them when I need new ones, and I don't like waiting.
I actually got them off of ebay, best place to ever buy guitar shit...
I've seen some great deals on ebay for strings. I seen 4 packs of Elixirs for £20.. in a shop it'd probably cost close to £50 for 4 packs.
Is there any way to buy nothing but high E strings, they are the only ones that ever break for me :v:
Is there any way to buy nothing but high E strings, they are the only ones that ever break for me :v:
http://circlekstrings.com/store/index.html These sell single strings.
My dad decided he wanted a guitar and said that it was for me aswell. Told me when he's not using it he wants it to be in my room and that I should play it
Is there any way to buy nothing but high E strings, they are the only ones that ever break for me :v:
I thought most local guitar shops would sell single strings.
I thought most local guitar shops would sell single strings.
I usually buy for my 5 string bass a set of 4 strings and a single high C string so it's tuned EADGC
I usually buy for my 5 string bass a set of 4 strings and a single high C string so it's tuned EADGC
High C master race! I have a six string bass and a four string tuned ADGC.
Low B master race. If everything goes well I'll have a bass tuned BEADGCF in 4 months or so.
Low B master race. If everything goes well I'll have a bass tuned BEADGCF in 4 months or so.
Cool so we can be guitar and bass tuning bros same tuning same octave 4lyfe
Anything that isn't Behringer
Fuck you, my Behringer amp is doing fantastic!
Holy cow, I've never seen so many people jump in rhythm to a song like they did at 1:41

I am looking for a bass modelling amp, and those are about as well stocked in my local music shop as unicorns, I live in west Wales, where large music store are hard to come by. Also I'm not happy with the features of the line 6 models in my price range, and wanted to know what other companies do bass modelling amps. [editline]15th April 2011[/editline] Also I don't trust my local music store to give me good advice, they charged me £200 for a bass guitar I found out a year later was worth £100 and made me think it was a good deal.
A bass modelling amp?
Fucking. Tone. I love my gear <3
Low B master race. If everything goes well I'll have a bass tuned BEADGCF in 4 months or so.
a lot of people with 7 string basses get F#BEADGC and I just don't get that
a lot of people with 7 string basses get F#BEADGC and I just don't get that
That would only be good for stuff like Periphery and Born of Osiris. BEADGCF or BEADGbe would be the best tuning for a 7 string bass in my opinion.
I just remembered something I saw at a nearby music-go-round a few years ago. it was an Epiphone Les Paul Studio with a Gibson sticker on the headstock and a little bit of gloss paint to cover the seam selling for $1100
a lot of people with 7 string basses get F#BEADGC and I just don't get that
That's pretty goddamn low. I can't see myself using that, the F# in the low E is fine for me, but eh.
That's pretty goddamn low. I can't see myself using that, the F# in the low E is fine for me, but eh.
I once tuned my 5 string bass to G#D#G#C#F# and that was already damn low, I see how a low F# would come in handy but my B (sometimes A) is already low enough for me.
Mine cost 65 USD plus tax
Where do you live? But 4 set of strings and you can get a new guitar for that price.
Where do you live? But 4 set of strings and you can get a new guitar for that price.
they're bass strings, Dr. Strings Black Beauties. the guitar strings I use (GHS Boomers) cost around $9 plus tax
Low B master race. If everything goes well I'll have a bass tuned BEADGCF in 4 months or so.
What kind of bass are you getting?
New 13s are usually 3.89 for me (D'Addario, I want some GHS though). I need to get a good G though, one that's not from an obscure set I have from a year or two ago...
Does anyone here own a Jackson?
Does anyone here own a Jackson?
Mine was a piece of shit.
That's a shame, the cheapest model they have is the JS1 and it's fine for the price. And my hands are really accustomed to the necks of Jacksons, that I cramp up using a fender strat
I don't own one myself but a good friend owns one and it's pretty ok
Does anyone here own a Jackson?
I have a Rhoads RR5 body with a Dinky neck (the scale was half an inch off so I had to drill the bridge in closer to the bridge pup). Seymour Duncan Invader in the bridge. The neck is the thinnest I've ever played on and took a lot of getting used to.
I'm getting a peavey 6505+ 112 combo amp once my family's tax return comes in for getting straight A's this quarter.
