He also makes awesome regular music with only a bass and a delay pedal.

I currently can play the solo for "where eagles dare" at half speed! this song is a lot of fun
Looks like I need to put a hault to all of my gear-buying. My sister is getting married in Florida next year so my closest extended family have all got together to plan a holiday around this and I need to save up spending money, thanfully my parents are paying for my ticket.
I have like a whole year and a half to save so it's not too bad but I don't wanna skimp out on having plenty of spending money for America.. I might even buy a guitar over there v:v:v
I want at least £1000 which is currently $1600 but who the fuck knows what the exchange rate will be in a year. Does anyone know if there are projections and if they're good or bad?

Depends on the economy, but at the current rate the pound isn't going to get stronger anytime soon. But the dollar may weaken some more, so.
Swings and roundabouts
I miss my High-e string and guitar cable. :smith:

That's a pretty sick bass, I love the inlay.
I keep thinking about getting a Conklin Groove Tools 7 but then I realize that having an amp is really more important.

Point made. Sounds kinda weird, and I can't say I like how it sounds, but point made, point made.

Yeah the dollar should still be fucked and stay fucked.

Huh.
I don't know why but I suddenly want to know what happens if you put him, Tosin Abasi, Don Ross and Keller Williams together in a room.
Bah. I can't decide between getting a boss loop pedal or the fuzz pedal i really want and on top of that i need to get my new amp.
fuzz is way more important than a loop pedal.
also which fuzz pedal are you thinking of getting?
The thing is I already have a 2 fuzz pedals.. but they're vastly different and the one I want is again different from the other 2, it's the MXR M173 108 Fuzz, basically it's a Fuzz Face with a buffer in it to help make it sound better with a wah pedal.
The loop pedal is very useful to me though, it allows me to actually have something to play against while I'm jamming in my house or at a friends, backing tracks have no life to them.
i'd love me a loop pedal, seems like a logical step as opposed to 3 fuzz pedals.
which one are you looking at anyway.
Just going to get the Boss RC-2 or RC-3, I don't need something extravagant, especially when it's mostly for use in my house or at a friends house.
those rc-2's are pretty sweet, i'd love to have one of those if i had 150 euros laying around.
Just played the 3 newest melody makers, designed on the explorer SG and flying V. So bad. I can't see myself dropping 400 dollars on a guitar just because it has the gibson name on it. The only single pickup guitar I could see spending that much on (not including jazz/archtops I guess) would probably be one of those old stratotones with the "hershey-bar" pickups
I really like the look of the Explorer Melody Maker :saddowns:

It's not terrible looking, the tones just meh for an 800 dollar guitar.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ApMhF4IXbvI (harmony stratotone, what I'd rather spend the money on)

I don't dig the headstock for some reason.
Just priced all the parts I'll need for my partscaster..
It's about £200 for all the bits I need and I'm painting the body tomorrow! :D
So in total I'm building a guitar comparable to a fender (in terms of parts by price:quality, not in terms of excellence of build and shit :p) for about £250.
I mean it's got an Alder body and a lot of Fender or outsourced Fender parts and the pickups aren't being skimped on either, I'm thinking about chucking a set of Lace Sensors in them but that ups the price a whole lot, to about £300-350
