Ah Feel free then :v:
So what effects pedals, if any, do people have or are people wanting? Right now I own a scuffed up Big Muff and a Double Muff for more overdrivey stuff. Theres a bunch I want right now and I hope to get them over the coming weeks/months. Dunlop JHF-1 Fuzz Face Dunlop JHp-OC1 Octavio Dunlop Wah of some kind, probably the 535Q Boss RC-2 Loop Station Electro Harmonix Electric Mistress Line6 Verbzilla or Behringer RV600 Reverb Machine I don't have a particular favor for Dunlop btw, they just happen to make 3 pedals I want.
I, unfortunately, own a whopping zero pedals But I want: Electro-Harmonix Cathedral Reverb Dunlop Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face Electro-Harmonix Memory Man Delay Some kind of wah Some kind of distortion/overdrive Some kind of chorus Maybe a phaser And also something that I wouldn't really go out of my way to get, but would be pretty fun, is the EHX POG2
I've got Krank Distortus Maximus Dunlop Crybaby from Hell ISP Decimator Boss FZ-2 I want an EarthQuaker Disaster Transport Delay Death by Audio Octave Clang Red Witch Famulus and Fuzz God MXR 10 band Lovepedal Purple Plexi EB Jr Volume EHX POG, Memory Man with Hazarai
I have a...

Boss PW-10 V-Wah
Ibanez TS9
Amp footswitches
I want a...

Looper
Vintage Fuzzface
Ibanez TS808 HW (the recent ones)
I'm pretty contempt with not owning pedals, I only kick on the tube screamer when I solo because the amp makes fine tube distortion. Plus, I only really use the tube screamer for the level and tone knobs.
I have: Dunlop Crybaby GCB-95 That is all! Want: Kirk Hammett Cry Baby Slash Crybaby Some Distortion Whatever pedal it is that Tom Morello uses
Wait, are we posting what kind of stuff we have. Digitech RP250 Spider Line Six III Tascam US-144mkII recording interface Guitar Rig 4 Amplitube I really don't use the first two things anymore. I'm honestly pretty content with what I have. I want a glass slide because I lost my previous one. I wouldn't mind a decent amp, but I'd only use it when playing live.
I have decent amps but they are all little, like 15w and 20w Except for my monster ass bass amp.
My amp is a steaming pile of shit I'm going to be getting one of these soon, though:
I have : Boss DS-1 (not using it very much tough) MXR ZW-44 Wylde Overdrive MXR ZW-38 Black label chorus Dunlop Crybaby CGB-95 I want: Wyle wah and rotovibe, maybe crybaby from hell, and a JCM 800. Wanting

Really want to get an Axe-FX though (of course)
Today I got a BCB-30 to fit my GE7 and MT2. I also picked up a CH-1. I'm thouroughly enjoying the 2 latter pedals, but the GE7 I need a little help with. It seems incredibly sensitive and the tinyest bit of boost to the bass levels sound incredibly murky and a tad boost to the high end makes the tone so sharp it feels like the sound is actually going to split my head open
The tele on the right was my first "partscaster" I made back in my second year of highschool. Here's another pic: Specs as follows: Fender Am Std neck Locking tuners-schaller callaham steel classic bridge plate w/ brass compensated saddles all internals (pots, caps, etc.) were drop-in with my Kinman noiseless broadcaster set from Australia 5-way switching Warmoth swampash body w/flame maple top neck plate was also fabricated by Bill over at callaham This has been my main player for probably 3 years now, my next project is nearing completion: This time, I did everything myself. Did the job just fine hehe
Oh shit, when I turn on My GE7, then play a chord and dampen the strings after a second to stop it, it sounds like sand is falling out of my amplifier. :wtc:
Time to remove the training wheels and move on to a big boy amp. (tube amp)
Or an Axe-Fx.
Or an Axe-Fx.
I know so many people who are into this, and honestly, this software ain't gonna push air or break-up naturally like a tube amp will. And seriously, enough with the uber delay classical metal settings for fucks sake. No wonder stevie vai swears by this software...
You can hook it up to a tube amp V:v:V
Why would you even want to do that? that's like pissing into your tube amp's speaker and saying, "i'm too stupid to make you sound good, so I need a digital software to cover your tone"
Why would you even want to do that? that's like pissing into your tube amp's speaker and saying, "i'm too stupid to make you sound good, so I need a digital software to cover your tone"
Alright Mr. Serious. They sounded good live though when I was at Periphery.
Solid State amps bring a bad name to "Solid Snake" :colbert:
Solid state bass amps are awesome :colbert:
I still don't understand I mean it supposedly dials in any tone of any amplifier flawlessly, and yet people claim the system itself sounds superior to the amp it's supposed to be dialing in... so logic tells me that it's not modeling the amp at all because how can you obtain the identical tone of an Orange RV50 cranked, and sound better than it at the same time? I guess you're not really modeling the orange if it sounds better...
Both tube amps and modeling amps are cool in their own way :buddy: It doesn't have to be or/or. :colbert:
Both tube amps and modeling amps are cool in their own way :buddy: It doesn't have to be or/or. :colbert:
I'm sorry for snapping, my passion for amp modification gets me emotional sometimes. :/
Getting usable distortion out of solid state amps (modeling or not) is near impossible, imo.
I'd get a solid state amp with a distortion stompbox. I use Vox amps for the tube driven modeling amps reference, and i don't like Vox amps.

lol dean
And don't forget your amp settings and your distortion pedal have their own 3 band EQ's, so you might want to change all highs, lows, and mids to 12 o'clock and then let your EQ pedal do the work. Infact, that would be your problem. You've already got enough treble and bass through the MT2 and your amp, that the GE7 wouldn't be necessary unless you are desperately trying to scoop the mids.
Also everything that's not a rackmount/studio dead-on-balls parametric EQ is going to have it's own "flavor" so sometimes it's worth checking what a little treble up on one with the other neutral does and vice versa. Lots of fiddling is good.
Time to remove the training wheels and move on to a big boy amp. (tube amp)
Nothing wrong with solid-state. Dude just needs something better than a spider.
lol dean
i dont play it that much tbh, i got out of my metal phase years ago yamaha sounds pretty sweet tho with the 6 plus strings on it. sounds cleaner than a reg 6 string
