Nut is cut too low or it's binding. To le guitar tech for a new nut, m'boy.
idk what the fuck that means
Anyone has any experience with the Ibanez IBZ3 amplifier? I'm considering buying it from a friend because I have a very limited budget.

The nut on the guitar (the little white bit on the headstock that holds the strings), the individual slots cut for the strings are too low to the fretboard or they are binding.. which is when there is a little bit of the plastic or material in the nut poking out and touching the string, it'd be hard to see.
A guitar tech could replace the nut at minimal cost or he could re-file it and attempt to fix it that way.
Las, the more I look at that guitar, the more I want it, If you don't sell it, can we organise something sometime later on in the year.
Perhaps but there are a ton of people interested in it so it will probably sell tomorrow. There are 11 people watching it on Ebay and I've have numerous messages from people about it.
In the off chance that it doesnt sell perhaps I'll consider selling it in the future.
The thing about people on Ebay is they'll try to undercut you pretending to be "experts".
£40 is not a good price for an intact mid-range Ibanez. Wanker.
Yeah I tend not to buy guitars on ebay but I'm happy to sell them. I'll be honest and transparent in my listing about it and provide as much proof that it's genuine as I can.
Pedals and such on the other hand I'm happy buying.

I'm looking to spend about 50€ (75 USD). I realize I need to go up a little to get something worth it but I can't do it really. It seems to be good enough for starting out.

What stuff do you play, from a quick google search it looks like a good thrash metal amp, but not very versatile when it comes to other genres.
Where can I get a good guide on how to make[sp]bass[/sp]effect pedals?
who was it that had that Tubescreamer clone? and what was it called?

we had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get into locked a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge, and i knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon.
We can't stop here. This is bat country.
It was on last night, Las's Avatar was begging me to make a comment

Probably me.. it's the Biyang OD-8. It's pretty nice. Has 3 easily interchangable chips to differ the tone slighty, one of the chips is a modern clone of the chips used in the original Maxon OD-808.
I don't play guitar myself (Yet), but I was wondering
A friend of mine has said that he's on a project where he's going to build a guitar with 6 pickups
Now I'm no expert on this sort of thing, I just smile and nod slowly
Is he being pants on head retarded, or might the result be interesting?
Also, I was thinking of getting a some sort of resonator, however I assume they aren't good for practising on; but I have an acoustic on hand for that
Am I being daft for thinking of buying one when I can't really play acoustic?
Woo.. someone bid on my Vintage Musicman Axis, so it's going for at least £75 .. now heres hopimg someone bids on my Fender.

Yes he's a twat. It'll be useless having more than 3 pickups.
And it's up to yourself, I'd learn first and then invest (because you might fall out of interest quickly) but if you really want one then go for it.

Yeah.. that's not bad tbh. And that's just the first bid with 14 people watching it and it ends tomorrow evening. I just noticed 10 people are now watching my Fender, I'm confident it will sell.
Oh and it'll probably help when I release my latest Youtube video where I'll be meantioning the auctions to 5,000 people >_> :p
Unless each pickup is for each string to have an independent output then it'll be relatively useless. And having 6 signal chains is relatively useless in a whole different way

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't Musicmans like $2,000 new?
It's not an actual Musican, it's a "Vintage" brand Musicman copy.
Oooh, that would explain that
Either way, I'd be bidding the fuck out of that if I were in the UK
Welp we'll see how it goes after all mah adoring youtube fans get the link in the video I'm uploading tonight.
Buying an acoustic-electric online, have a US$500-600 budget. What should I get?
I'm attempting to learn guitar, but before I start, I want to be able to tune it properly. I'm having problems with tuning it. I can get the first two strings tuned perfectly, but I cannot for the life of me, figure out how to tune the rest. They always fall too flat or too sharp. What should I do? I've tried using a tuner, but that didn't really help.
God dammit. I ended up working out this really shit deal with a guitar store, they're giving me a part-exchange on a new guitar, but I have to wait for them to sell the other one first.
It's been over a month and I nearly have the money saved to just buy it...
I'll keep it a secret now, but it's a pretty cool guitar. It has a bit of history to it.

If you only have a really vague idea, just go to a guitar store and look used IMO. See what you like.

That's odd. I can only assume the tuning stability is really bad, or you're tuning to wrong note or something.
It may be that the string is catching on the nut, in which case; slacken it off and rub a pencil lead in the nut slot. It allows the the string to move more freely. Are you sure it's strung up properly too?
And take your time, make tiny movements with the machineheads.

Well, you see, you have to turn the little pegs at the top
