Oh my fuckin god, you are so right. I went a gauge up on my Ibanez and that Bigsby just made me go all apeshit trying to change strings. Is it easier with two people? I did it by myself. Turned out great, I just got impatient and didn't rap them around the pegs enough.
There's a method for it that works that I'm just too lazy to do but that I've seen my repair guy do on other peoples guitars. You're supposed to jam a foam wedge between the body and the guitar once you get the strings on the pegs. I just fight with it until it goes me way haha.
A doorstop works too :v:
I think I'm about to pull the trigger on a Strymon El Capistan.. but I also want the Blue Sky.. :( They're both £250.
Arghhhh
Anyone know what the best (if one exists at this price) EQ pedal is for about 60/70 dollars?
Picked this up today in a shop that usually sells peoples old beat up technology and 8th hand gear.
It was made in 2001-2002 and they're no longer in production (Though I think Dunlop-MXR make a smaller 'new' version).

There's a reason they give you those stupid shiv pieces, and that's it.
1999 Ibanez RG7620 in Royal Blue
Acht, nevermind.

Nah, I just remembered I shouldn't try and swing anything past $500 right now. You're all giving me GAS, but I already had a bunch of stupid crap and software I was looking at to buy too. And I still haven't ordered those bloody pickups.
very close to buying the el capistan.

You could easily get a 7620 for under 500 if you bought within the US. I'm looking to sell mine locally to negate the shipping costs from when I bought it originally.
I cannot stress enough how fucking awesome and brutal a Bugera 6262 is. Awesome for death metal, thrash any kinda metal you need.
Wow musician's friend fixed the problem that wouldn't let me order from the site, makes me want to buy a guitar even more, might go for one with a floyd rose this time.
Anyone got a trick to take out a broken screw inside my guitar? my straplock screw stripped out the wood so I bought some eyebolts to replace em, only problem is that I broke the eyebolt straight while installing it, and I'm kinda stuck with a 3 inch long screw with about 5 millimeters sticking out of the guitar -_-
if you've got 5 whole mm sticking out just grab it with a pair of pliers and unscrew it

My MXR 10 band is absolutely amazing, and I guess since it's cut from the same cloth, the 6 band EQ should be just as good, if not as in depth.
DFH now costs 30€ more, yes!!!!

You buy so many pedals, LasGunz... How many do you own?
You buy so many pedals, LasGunz... How many do you own?
10 or 11 including the El Cap I'll be getting next week.
I've sold one though and don't use 3 due to them being broke and not sent away for repair yet.

Tremolo + Multichorus is win. Almost like a lush leslie speaker.

Fitted a new bridge on my Fender Jazzmaster, it is wonderful.
I'm looking for a new amp, preferably a valve one with an effects loop. I was looking at the Orange Tiny Terror but I've heard it really doesn't like effects pedals.
Can anyone help me ?
Bugera V22 :p
Not sure which way I prefer this..

Obviously there is the issue of the screwholes when the plate is off but I kind of like the bare look.
Or get a black plate?
Any of you guys tried the Seymour Duncan Lava Box? Tried it out today, gonna add it to my fledgling board once I get my first paycheck. Same store has some cool in-house made effects, much too pricey but sound fucking awesome.

It's only my 3rd week of playing guitar and I can already play Exo-Politics by Muse... good progress?

Wtf Epiphone, go back to making casinos and Les Pauls...
Wait, that looks like the Epiphone logo?
What is it?

Very good.
On another note, I've been going through about two string packs a week. Amazingly, none break at the nut or saddles, all of them break wherever I bend (any fret). But I have been practicing some albert king bends, so..
Oh Pretty Woman is my favorite song right now.
So bummed out that I need to wait until Monday to get my El Capistan. I could have had it today if the website I was using accepted paypal :(
well I'm a bass player so it's a little different on my end
Not really, you can leave the strings off for a week or so.
You still have to adjust the truss rod afterwords, though.

Put a soldering iron against it, so it'll heat up and expand.
Hold it in place for a few minutes, switch of the soldering iron, do something else for an hour or so, come back, use a pair of pliers to unscrew it.
