they were barely featured in winter assault, and you still had chaos in the base game. The point was if ANY RTS game had the main antagonist locked behind a paywall or locked period is beyond stupid. If NOD wasn't playable in and CNC, there would be literal bloodshed for EA's head.

not saying its not wrong - i was the first to point out in the TW thread - but you guys should know better than to assume this is CA and not SEGA + GW, DLC is always so obviously a publisher's decision over the developer's

To be fair, they're limited by the historical period. The timurids enter in 1365, and the game ends not that long after that. There are also a lot of factions (granted, similar units) in the MD2TW, and they didn't try to sell you the timurids.

I was a huge Total War fan, but their DLC practices eroded my fandom to the point I'm not even fucking surprised the Chaos are DLC. Just really disappointed. Although, the High King edition looks dope, but I don't want to buy a faction that should be in the vanilla game.
