The Huns in Attila, the shogunate in Shogun 2.
Also France in Napoleon if you happened to be one of the other nations.
It's quite possible that they wouldn't have been included at all if they weren't made DLC, so I'd much rather they be included than not. Also, Necrons were featured in Winter Assault first and were not playable. In response to their popularity, the next expansion Dark Crusade made them playable.
they were barely featured in winter assault, and you still had chaos in the base game. The point was if ANY RTS game had the main antagonist locked behind a paywall or locked period is beyond stupid. If NOD wasn't playable in and CNC, there would be literal bloodshed for EA's head.
The Huns in Attila, the shogunate in Shogun 2.
And the Timurids + Mongols in Med2.
not saying its not wrong - i was the first to point out in the TW thread - but you guys should know better than to assume this is CA and not SEGA + GW, DLC is always so obviously a publisher's decision over the developer's
And the Timurids + Mongols in Med2.
To be fair, they're limited by the historical period. The timurids enter in 1365, and the game ends not that long after that. There are also a lot of factions (granted, similar units) in the MD2TW, and they didn't try to sell you the timurids.
Wtf, a Warhammer Total War?
They're deleting comments, fucking el o el
Oh look, a game I won't buy (or play) due to scummy tactics - good job CA.
They're deleting comments, fucking el o el
Are they? I can't even read the earliest comments because of how absurd YouTube's comment system has gotten. You can only click Show More so many times before the button just completely disappears. I wish there was still a way to view the top comments of all time on a video, because under YouTube's current asinine Top Comments algorithm you really can't. I honestly think this is more YouTube being a shit than malice on CA's part.
I was a huge Total War fan, but their DLC practices eroded my fandom to the point I'm not even fucking surprised the Chaos are DLC. Just really disappointed. Although, the High King edition looks dope, but I don't want to buy a faction that should be in the vanilla game.
Worst part is that they still missed out on the chance to call it "Total Warhammer
I believe it was a copy-write issue between GW and CA. Or trademark. But; Total War®: Warhammer® Can't be spliced (fixed random bold) Also I bet that's how it looks in the Steam library.
Remember, this is why you shouldn't want Dawn of War 3.
Remember, this is why you shouldn't want Dawn of War 3.
Relic has never pulled this kind of bullshit though.
Relic has never pulled this kind of bullshit though.
That was a different time though. And in the end Relic has little say in how DLC and pre-order distribution works.
Relic has never pulled this kind of bullshit though.
Soulstorm /sarcasm also is it a bad thing I'm NOT surprised? In the sense that the first ever cinematic trailer of this my first thoughs where "its a GW game, something is going to be shitty". go figure its pre order bullshit.
