[/QUOTE] Go on Rotten tomato and go all the way back to January the films release and see that pretty much every review was giving it 1/5 or 2/5 calling it mindless and boring. It only started gaining public interest and becoming such a well known 'classic' after the DVD release. Until then all the respected critics hated it and all this fluffy bull magazine writers were giving it the gold. Then there was a swell of praise from critics after the DVD finally dropped and Neeson suddenly became a bad-ass.

How anyone could think a sequel to Taken could have been good is beyond me. It's a total rehash.

It's a total rehash.[/QUOTE] you know what i think? sometimes it takes for a carbon copy sequel, for people to see the faults of the first one taken hangover how people feel when watching the sequels is probably how i felt watching the first [editline]7th October 2012[/editline] because generally, the public does like watching the same thing over and over. but when something is the same, but it gets panned for it, you know it's because it was never great to begin with. people were just wrong the first time around

Taken was an awful piece of shit and the worst "badass" cult action film since Boondock Saints. I can only imagine how unwatchable this colossal turd of a sequel must be.

I quite liked it. Not saying it was amazing or anything, but I enjoyed the film.
