Sure seems like it, anyway, haven't heard much praise for this album.
Steel Panther are hilarious and that's why I love the music

The intros are boring for the most part. Everything is good but that - I don't give a shit though, Maiden are awesome. I can't wait to see them.
I mainly enjoyed the singles from it, "On Melancholy Hill" and "Stylo". It's not a bad album, just not as strong or even as good as their previous efforts.
self titled 4 lyfe
oh and "Empire Ants" is nice too
Listened to Melancholy Hill and Stylo. Pretty decent actually, I'll listen to the album some more another time <:
Meh, I distinctly remember people complaining about Metallica selling out and Death Magnetic being rubbish.
let me quote, or paraphrase to be exact, a member of facepunch who i can not recall (or maybe a few people)
they didn't necessarily sell out. they initially wanted a bit more radio play, which i guess is kind of selling out ish, but not huge in terms of selling out. the radio plays a huge part in how popular you are, and if you dont get radio play its a huge gap between what you are and can be.
they changed a bit to be on the radio. the big thing, though, on the black album was the production, which was terribly clean, and why it didnt have that same kick as former albums.
with load and reload, they tried new things. they went their way and made the music they wanted to, as opposed to music to feed the masses. its a bit like the opposite of selling out.
I do that to people irl kind of
I find a band I know my friend will like, so I get them into that band. And then I feed them more similar bands. Eventually they're listening to stuff they would have hated originally.

Who the hell can hate Steel Panther? Honestly even though they're a parody band I think they're one of the best glam bands I've heard.
And on Iron Maiden, the new album was not that great. It was good but nothing amazing. Still really fucking looking forward to seeing them though yeah.
