Should have made a game with the Hatred guy against IS.
That would be kinda funny.
Alternate ending where he gets caught before he blows shit up and the government makes him go in against IS.
Looks like a sorta-spiritual successor to the old Beach Head games.

Could be a fun time waster. Though the best part about Hatred was the destructible environments and explosions, sort of a missed opportunity for them to make this a stationary shooting gallery instead of making a straight FPS about you being Rambo blowing ISIS up, with gibs and debris everywhere. :v:
They should have VR support to get a modern day approximation of the Beach Head arcade experience

I don't think he implied it was a new thing?
Because it certainly isn't, there's always been one regarding video games. I think it had a bit of a decline after the Postal 2 debacle and has recently been gaining a resurgence, though. Even now it's nowhere near the level of the 80s or anything, however.
Should have made a game with the Hatred guy against IS.
No make it his bavarian brother "Sergeant Loathing"
That would make a great game really, replace darkedge remarks with action movie parody cheesy remarks with a side dish of slightly racist remarks.
If they ever make a serious, non-joke game, I'd say they should make a game about the polish resistance in WWII.
What happened to hatred mod support by the way?
A level editor beta is currently under way and with that update, multiplayer is going to come too.
Despite what some people would say, they are actually following their promises.
Can't wait to make all the levels that DC couldn't do because Poland. I make a church with a black metal soundtrack and molotovs scattered around already, dangit.
It looks good but it belongs on a modern phone, 2007, or one of those newer arcade machines with a pod you sit in.
What censorship climate?
Anti videogame violence feminists and the religious right pushed the game off Steam. Then the anti censorship crowd got it reinstated.

But now its the left pushing the anti gaming violence nonsense. The religious right hasn't stopped either but they're taken less seriously.

This game isn't offensive, having IS in it is just a bit too real for some people
Al Qaeda was less real?
Looks like a game from 2006
when did shooting terrorist became "edgy"? Hey its a cheap beach head inspired game that has next gen destructive environment, just like their last game is literally a postal 1 inspired game but with next gen destructive environment.

???
Who's "The Left"
Who were the "anti-videogame violence feminists"? I thought it was just Valve overreacting?
Who the fuck are you even talking about?
i cant see this selling on pc
maybe on the f2p mobile market or something but is the average pc player going to spend $7.50~ to play beachhead hd?
It just has to be optimized well. They would make an absolute killing if they sold it on mobile though.
Time crISIS

The same groups of people were also upset when Mortal Kombat came out back in the early 90s.
Literally nothing is different
Feminists aren't trying to take your games away, it's okay.
the game will get more sales if it has vr support
Gross, its a rail shooter.
It's worse. It's a turret shooter.
Yeah this really just seems to enforce the idea that these guys know they can't make good games, so they just rely on controversy to sell. Hatred probably sold a lot of copies just because people bought it to see how dumb it is or to make fun of it.
it's a smart tactic Hatred was basically Postal HD and would not have sold as well if it weren't for all the controversy
I started laughing. This is like a really well done parody.
I have a bad feeling about this
Can't believe they didn't call it daesh defence
Graphics are nice, got to give these people that much at least.
I find it kind of interesting this game has a retarded storyline where IS grows so large it invades Europe. It's a idea I already imagened while shitfaced a while ago.

They try.
I'm disappointed that they're playing it safe. I was hoping that their next game would have even more controversy marketing in it.
That being said, it's hard to fuck up a rail shooter, even Flash games can do it right.
I'll stick to Muslim Massacre
I'm going to play it and I'll enjoy it. This will remind me a lot of those "Toy Soldier" games that are on Steam right now which are effectively tower defenses with the ability to first person control of turrets. If its' anything like that, they have my money, and I don't care.
Damn, I was hoping it would be a game where you play as the Islamic State. This is a huge step down controversy-wise compared to Hatred.
A singleplayer game with the big bad being ISIS would be fun to play imo.
Maybe a return to the older Call of Duty gameplay.

What "anti videogame violence feminists"? It was pretty obvious that the impetus to boot Hatred off Steam Greenlight was from someone who worked at Valve and didn't like the look of the game and decided to take it down, then had to answer to Gabe.

But you don't understand, this is different because
this isn't a game development company
it's a fucking advertising firm
