ugh
ugh
was that ugh directed at the LMAO pics part or the testes part
was that ugh directed at the LMAO pics part or the testes part
what's the difference
Why is Minecraft it's own subforum still?
for hezzy... i guess.
Why is Minecraft it's own subforum still?
I don't get why they have their on subforum yet they still overflow games in progress with minecraft servers
I don't get why they have their on subforum yet they still overflow games in progress with minecraft servers
Because it's against the rules to post minecraft server threads in the minecraft forum for some reason
I once suggested that somebody should rename Games In Progress to Minecraft Servers etc. It didn't go down well. Minecraft's popularity is dying down quite a bit these days, as you can see from the reduced number of servers. Pretty soon only 50% of GIP threads will be about MC servers.
I got an idea Minecraft Servers section in Games In Progress
What forum exploit did Jessecar do to get permabanned?
which was the last straw due to his previous attempts at alt finder which kinda sucked at security
And that might be related to the removal of flagdog (?)
Is there something wrong with FP? On Chrome it wont work and i always get a "webpage not available" error and then i switched to firefox and now this is happening

You'd better double check your systems. Those ratings could be impostors.

I've been seeing a ton of users being banned over puns simply because they don't know. Would it kill you guys to make an announcement akin to the ones that pop up on people's birthdays? In my opinion editing the sticky in the SH doesn't cut it because, honestly, who even looks at the sticky when browsing there? It'd save a lot of accidental bans if you guys just made a proper announcement.
who even looks at the sticky when browsing there?
people who don't deserve to be banned for being shitty posters [editline]1[/editline] seriously every time an amendment is made to the rules, the sticky is bolded and its name changes
There is another shock gif/pic thing in LMAO pics
why don't you guys post in a rules thread when updating it? It makes it much more noticable that there's actually something different if the name is suddenly bold and darker than just a change from "rules" to "rules-no puns"
why don't you guys post in a rules thread when updating it?
they did do that and they always have done that

However it should still make the thread bold regardless until first viewed. You're probably well aware of this fact already, but I figured I would clarify for anyone that may not already know. Similar to how the last poster for the GD rules is hexxeh, yet blue members cannot see his post.
The sticky is there to be read. Don't read it? Your problem.
I'm sure that everyone always checks that the sticky has been updated. It's not that people don't read the stickies, it's more that they didn't realize that it had been updated. There's been a slew of bans for puns and it would have saved a ton of trouble to simply make a formal announcement. I didn't even notice that there was a ban on puns until I saw people getting banned because I didn't notice a change in the sticky. I'm sure others didn't as well, hence being banned. It's not just "dumb" members missing it too. I've seen quite a few quality members being banned for puns. I didn't notice a change in the rules, and neither did multiple other members. It would have just made more sense to make an announcement. You shouldn't constantly have to check to see if the rules are updated, besides the sticky didn't even bold on my end like another member said it supposedly did. In the future it would make way more sense to simply use a notification instead of doing a dumb title amendment which is incredibly easy to miss, especially when it didn't bold like it was apparently supposed to. It's a shitty way to handle a change, and whoever did it should feel bad.
whoever makes unfunny puns deserves to be banned anyway and should feel bad
whoever makes unfunny puns deserves to be banned anyway and should feel bad
I agree the unfunny puns deserve to be bannable, but I don't agree with the mediocre method used to update the rules. In the future a lot of trouble could be saved by just making a notification pop up, because honestly the sticky update is incredibly easy to miss.

They're stupid worthless posts and we even went as far as to edit the title of the rules thread to say NO MORE PUNS. If you aren't reading the rules stickies we're gonna ban you to get your attention.

There's lots of threads in the RC from people who were oblivious to the new rule. I'm just saying that it'd be more efficient to do a formal announcement. It gets the point across to everyone and it's rather hard to miss. Makes more sense then a hit or a miss method. [editline]21st April 2012[/editline]
don't make shitty posts and you won't have to worry about being banned, problem solved
I'm not complaining about the quality of the posts. I'm complaining about the rather poor method used to instate the new rule.
