I might get flamed for this but wouldn't it be much more convenient to merge the Webdev and Programming sections? The only active threads in Webdev is the WAYWO and the questions thread. I think that having an entire section for web dev is unnecessary, you're much better off merging the two and having seperate WAYWO threads for each subject.

a huge amount of what is posted in webdev is purely design and is more focused on aesthetics than actual programmatic challanges, the programming waywo is explicitly for programming and the things that go along with it (like your pwaybook and constantly posting updates about a physics game you made even though you already have a thread dedicated to it). merging the two would be stupid, they're pretty distant most of the time.

I think he's right about the moderators, they're strict enough to keep this hoard of shit-throwing chimps acting pretty close to civilized humans most of the time.

He banned people for stuff like bad spelling, and permabanned people for things that would get 7 day bans now.

He even permabanned himself

This was in 2008. It appears that nobody bumped the thread in a year, or it was locked (there was tons of people spamming stuff like OMG MIKFOZ WHAT), so it was removed in Garry's pruning
