Do threads still auto-lock and if so, what are the conditions for auto-locking?

When a thread gets 10000 posts, the thread is autolocked.

It looks like the last time they were online was may 2011, so maybe they just got tired of facepunch?

How long till people get banned for rating spam?
LMAO Pics has like 4+ people doing it now. It's only a matter of time before people start doing it out of fast threads.

Un-tick "Show Ratings"
What's the purpose of ratings being around if they're just devolving into something people are just leaving on every post they read so that people go to their profile and give them attention?
it's because some people are devoid of attention so they have to get it with gimmicks like that
lol

Why do you care about ratings so much? They're useless little pictures that mean nothing...

They prevent you from being an awful shitposter by reading which posts are gaining huge amounts of dumbs and correcting your mistake.

I've learned a few things after many a dumb.
-You can't hate on Gabe Newell unless it's about his weight. Even jokes about his weight must be accompanied by a compliment regarding him being the creator of anything Valve related.
-Don't mention CoD, don't even dis it. Any affiliation will cause a shitstorm.
-Read the OP every fucking time, you'll probably break one of those rules with your post.
-Don't mention the number of posts someone has until your post count has at least 4 digits.
-Obey the golds
-DO NOT, I REPEAT! DO NOT PISS OFF CRAPTASKET! Legend says ban hammer is said to have absorbed the souls of gingers, and they don't even have any!
-Don't post memes that originated outside of FacePunch.
-Never post reaction images unle-- Never.
-Don't have an opinion of Garry. If you say he is cool or call him a fag, you'll collect lots of boxes.
-Tread lightly in the Photoshop Contests unless you know exactly what the reaction will be.
-Mass Debate has no ratings for a reason, you would get boxes for your posts anyway.
-Obey the golds
-Enter MS Paint at your own risk, there will be many dicks.
-Don't bother making a thread about CloudFlare, it's a normal thing that is always plaguing FacePunch.
-If you see a rainbow, rate optimistic. If you see a lightning bolt, rate zing.
-If you need to search for something, go to google and type facepunch after whatever you are looking for. Don't complain about no searching for blues.
-Don't post about Naruto. Something about it aggravates the locals.
-Adore and hate Ricochet at the same time.
-Don't defend your views.
-Every Photoshop thread needs Ainsley somewhere. First 5 posts or never.
-Obey the golds.
why did you even bother to type all that
You're going to have to update that list :v:
why did you even bother to type all that
Everytime I read that from now on I have a guideline for posting.

You made a dumb list which doesn't even make sense for the half of it.
Why can't I see any of the rating icons? This includes the report button and the events button, they just appear as generic "image missing" icons. I've been having this problem for a week now, and I have no idea what's causing it. I also tried this with Firefox, considering I currently use Chrome, and I've got the same problem. CTRL+F5 didn't seem to do anything. Cleaning the cache thru History > Clear History > Empty the cache (roughly translated from Portuguese) didn't seem to work either.
I'm using Google Chrome on Windows 7 64-Bit, with the following extensions:
-Adblock Plus
-APNG
-AVG Safe Search
-RealPlayer HTML5Video Downloader Extension 1.5
-TweetDeck
-YTShowRatings
-I had DoNotTrack aswell, but I disabled it now.
Currently running programs:
-Chrome
-Steam
-Notepad
-Hamachi (disabled)
-AVG
-Daemon Tools
-Turbo Key, Catalyst, and some ASUS Performance thingy
I think it's relevant that I tried some minutes ago to access Facepunch thru a web proxy and all the icons there were perfectly fine. I'm starting to think this is a problem with my internet.
(I've had a similar problem which I couldn't access www.cinemassacre.com for months without using a web proxy, but then it unblocked all of a sudden)
I also do not use any Overv script. Everything else is fine, the ratings/report button/event button all seem to be missing, but I can click their squares to do stuff.
This is how it looks like:

On a further note, the event log is also fucked:

I noticed that the images you mentioned were broken for you, all start with "www.".
Try to go manually to http://www.facepunch.com/fp/report.png and http://facepunch.com/fp/report.png -- does it show any error?
They prevent you from being an awful shitposter by reading which posts are gaining huge amounts of dumbs and correcting your mistake.
If little icons somehow prevent that, then I'd be amazed. It would mean you're shaping your posting based on what FP likes so that you can get a few "better" icons under your posts.

The link with the www. doesn't work at all, but the www-less one does show up normally.
If I try to access www.facepunch.com, it doesn't work. If I try to access http://facepunch.com, Chrome automatically deletes the http:// so it's only facepunch.com.
I'm not very good when it comes to networking...
No, Chrome (and most other browsers) hide http:// because it's the default protocol, so there's no reason for you to see or type it.

Something is tampering with your HTTP Referrer headers for www.facepunch.com
another request to make youtube embedded videos to how they were before. reason is that the music section overloads people's PCs due to this.
Hey, does anyone have the link to the thread for this guy? I know his name is Harold but searching for that doesn't bring up much:

What could it be? It's not my Anti-Virus...
I've tried accessing www.facepunch.com on my laptop, and it works just fine. Odd... I'm also using Chrome in it. But it's Windows XP, with barely nothing installed.
Update: Yep, everything works fine here on the laptop.
