Potential forum area icons? [editline]11th July 2012[/editline] I don't even know the proper dimensions of area icons, I couldn't find them in inspect element
okay why does Valve games need their own CATEGORY? the front page doesn't even look appealing anymore, it looks like a mess.
they arent supposed to be glossy sfm would probably work, hats probably no
I'll colourfill the tf2 logo wait [editline]11th July 2012[/editline] How's that?
the new layout makes me feel like I'm constantly being jabbed in the right side of my gut aka it's weird and disorientating
If we're gonna have only one modelling forum instead of 3, either model requests need to be not allowed anymore or there needs to be a seperate subforum for it. Now the section is just gonna be nothing but requests, there's like 50 request threads made like every day with requests for anime shit or people asking others to make models from some shitty obscure game or movie from scratch. Any normal threads are just gonna get buried under all that crap.
why would anyone even think that its a good idea to move the models/requests sections and merge them together?
The one thing I like about this sudden change is the description for the SFM section.
Post your slight variations of Meet The Heavy here.
Hey guys how about this for the forum icon? I don't know how big they're meant to be but this looks about the right size [editline]11th July 2012[/editline]
If we're gonna have only one modelling forum instead of 3, either model requests need to be not allowed anymore or there needs to be a seperate subforum for it.
So what you're saying is that we'll have 50 threads a day in one forum instead of having 50 threads a day in 3
Yeah, request threads that no one ever cares about and usually get like 1-2 or posts and since there's usually so many of them made, they're just gonna drown the threads people actually care about if it doesn't get a new post in a few hours.
Maybe there will be less of them since there isn't a forum dedicated to them. Either way we don't know until we try it. So lets shut up predicting the future and find out what happens.

Give or take most people would notice it instead of making a new thread.
Alright let's see how it goes I guess.
What If I started a thread for model requests in the forum? Give or take most people would notice it instead of making a new thread.
nope
nope
fine garry be that way

Models/skins section was more dedicated to WiP stuff.
nope
I don't really see why not. it's an option between having 30+ threads asking for things that'll never get done, or having one thread with all those requests in it. it's like throwing your papers around the room versus filing them away. one is simply far neater.

I doubt he'll listen.
So what you're saying is that we'll have 50 threads a day in one forum instead of having 50 threads a day in 3
Except the difference is the three threads allow us to sort through shit, so said 50 threads that we don't want can go be in their own corner. Oh and you deleting those subforums consequently deleted the threads AFAIK, so half of these 'releases' for Garry's Mod are gone now. That's primarily the reason I want at LEAST the Releases subforum to be restored.
This is just like the Golds Workshop change. We tried Mapping and Modelling threads for there, and garry just said we aren't low on space. But do subforums take up less space than threads all in one spot?
