It's more that certain content just gets brutally drowned out. (mostly by requests) which are one post wonders.

Releases take time and effort while request threads barely require any, hence why there's so many requests in comparison to releases - seeing as speculation and requesting over something getting ported/made for gmod is much more easier than actually working on a port/model itself, the issue will be that the actual release threads will be quickly bought down as the subforum gets clogged up with requests, which can be problematic for alot of people. As I recall, most of the threads that were on the first page of the releases subsection pre-merge (MW3 Russian Bodyguards, Aria T'Loak etc.) are now about 20 or so pages down, which is bad for those trying to look for them.

Better yet, why not have a release section? Then nobody would have to bother with tags and thread title shit.

And the reason we post here is because the chances of Garry or someone important strolling into that thread are incredibly slim.

People wouldn't be complaining if the new setup worked. When we said this was a bad idea to begin with, we were dismissed for predicting the future. We gave it a fair amount of time to see if it worked; it didn't. Now we're back with valid examples of it not working and we want the old setup back. The only time anyone that has power over changing the setup checks us is when we complain, so here we are complaining.

Why do most of the mods browse FP in private? I know everyone has the right to do so was just wondering why most of the mods do it, I figured you wouldn't need to do it so people don't message you when you're on, you guys rarely respond to any of your visitor messages.

Why do the regulars in the minecraft section not want anybody to make threads? Isn't that the whole point of a subforum dedicated to a single subject? terrible recent example: [url]http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1202441[/url] "We already have a megathread, so there's no need to make a thread on one of the bigger updates to minecraft in a long time." They have megathreads for servers, videos, seeds, screenshots, and so on. Why have a subsection for minecraft if you only want to have 5 threads in it? Might as well just remove it and put a minecraft megathread in GGD again.
