Could be because you're on Chrome, Facepunch has been acting up on it lately.

Thank you, I didn't know that. It seems to be working better, but isn't back to 'normal' just yet.
I keep randomly getting this issue on Firefox when going to pages:

It seems to be coming from pages where there's a www. before Facepunch such as following links from Overv's rating script.
What are you doing?
I thought that was obvious. I am posting in the "Ask us more about the forums" thread on Facepunch Studios Forums.
This merely seem to be a temporary solution. I now would have to clear my cookies whenever I need to mark a thread unread
Yes, you're right - it seems the problem has started recurring for me too. That's pretty fucked up.
Am I the only one with a horrible case of Slowpunch?
I'm getting Averagepunch at the moment but I have been noticing major speed drops over this week.
Is it just me or the site became much less active in the previous ~1 month?
Before a popular thread gained ~5 posts in 5 minutes, now it's 1 post in 10 minutes
Mass Effect 3. Same thing happened with Skyrim.
if hl3 comes out it'll be a ghost forum
At least for the first month, indeed. Depending on how long it takes to play through, though they are working SO LONG on this.

Facepunch occasionally looks like this for me, is it normal?

The stylesheet just didn't load. It's probably a related problem to slowpunch - cloudflare server times out and doesn't give you the data in time. A couple of refreshes or trying again later should fix it.
Looks like the old theme
I kinda like it. it's all neat and compact except for certain parts
The news node is so dead and sad :pwn:
Why is my avatar not animated, its a .gif and is below the maximum size requirements.
Was it both no more than 80x80 and no more than 102.4kb?
Was it both no more than 80x80 and no more than 102.4kb?
Its bigger than 80x80 but its around 50kb, also what is my avatar, for me right now its a cat, but it showed as the last person who posted it my last one, the lambda symbol.

If it's bigger than 80x80 facepunch will scale it down, removing transparency and animation.
What if it's smaller
What if it's smaller
Then it stays the same. Haven't you ever seen anyone with a 2x2 avatar before?
[editline]e[/editline]
However, as I recall if it is less than 64 pixels wide it will upscale in the visitor messages on a profile page until it is 64px wide.
Facepunch will scale it up to 125x125 and add more animation
Facepunch will scale it up to 125x125 and add more animation
So that's how you got your avatar.
I see, guess I got to resize it.
How to resize gifs in Photoshop, anyone know?

Resize it as you normally would an image but make sure to save if for web and mobile devices instead of the normal save function.

Note that bicubic smoother is for upsizing, bicubic sharper is for downsizing, and nearest neighbor is for pixelart (and other aliased art).

It keeps fucking changing.
I've been noticing a lot of people using the word 'irregardless' recently. Since I didn't want to be a jerk and call them out in the thread, I figured I would post it here, so everybody can see it. Anyway, irregardless is a double-negative, since it has the negating prefix 'ir', and the suffix meaning 'without', 'less'. So it really means 'in regard to'. Regardless would be the proper term. This has just been getting on my nerves lately, sorry.

For all intensive purposes, not many people care about misusing irregardless. I have a sick sense about this stuff, so when we get down to brass tax, I'm surprised it's the misuse of a word that people don't have any taller ants for rather than the general lack of spelling and punctuation.
