Thick as a brick and Aqualung are fucking godly :h:
First concert my dad ever went to was Jethro Tull. He got me into them when I was younger by giving me the tapes. I still have them.

My dad loves this band too. Heard them live with him once and they're actually not bad at all.
My dad loves this band too. Heard them live with him once and they're actually not bad at all.
Yeah, Ian is actually sounding pretty good, listened to Aqualung live, sounded pretty damn good, not as good as back in the 70's, but still good
Decided I would bump this because Slipstream is my favorite song at this moment.
Well the lush separation unfolds you -- and the products of wealth push you along on the bow wave of the spiritless undying selves. And you press on God's waiter your last dime -- as he hands you the bill. And you spin in the slipstream -- timeless -- unreasoning -- paddle right out of the mess.
"This song seems to be about trying to ascend in the Church of England. Seems to talk about making money and giving it to the church to gain rank instead of giving it to the people who need it. It's almost saying the church is a pyramid scheme. God's waiter is your preacher, your priest. The bill is the Tithe, or, a tenth of your earnings minimum. The more you give, the better you are in the Church's eyes. At least that's what I see."
Delìrivm Còrdia by fantomas is 74 minutes
Stand Up is rad
Finally, a quality thread about a great musician
Finally, a quality thread about a great musician
Jethro Tull is the name of the band. The front musicians name is "Ian Anderson"
Delìrivm Còrdia by fantomas is 74 minutes
Jethro Tull were still the first band to come up with the concept.
Jethro Tull is the name of the band. It wasn't until A Passion Play where I think they made a serious concept album. Both albums are genius though.
Jethro Tull got nothing on Jeffro Tull :smug:
Jethro Tull got nothing on Jeffro Tull :smug:
Did they do that just for a joke? Do they know who Jethro Tull is?
Can't believe nobody posted this one yet.
Can't believe nobody posted this one yet.
Classic. That song is extremely bad ass.
Did they do that just for a joke? Do they know who Jethro Tull is?
Pretty sure they did it for a joke, they don't take much seriously. [editline]11th February 2011[/editline] Really, the flying pizza should have been a clue.
