Brian Eno comes from my town, I think should get into ambient music as a homage to his greatness.
His recent stuff is actually quite good.
My favorite from him has to be An Ending (Ascent). That song is a miracle. It's the one I posted in the OP.
Album worthy?
Album worthy?
That is pretty cool, reminds me of MGMT.
That is pretty cool, reminds me of MGMT.
It's inspired by Siberian Breaks' outro
Album worthy?
I like it. Just normalize it at -3db, it nearly blew my eardrums out. [editline]18th March 2011[/editline] Also, since some of the great music posted here isn't exactly straight ambient, do you all mind if we change this to the Facepunch Collaborative Chill-Out Album? That covers a little broader scope of what we're doing.
or "▲Facepunch Obscure Ultimate Underground Indie Chillwave Album I: You Probably Haven't Heard of It▲"
I'm half way through working on a track which I'll happily submit. It's sounding very Orbital at the moment. All I really need to do is record the vocals and it's done. There's some guitar on the track, but it's really just there to fill out during the chorus. Everything else is Massive or MS-20. I'll get a rough version on sound cloud in a bit. I've gotta get my ass down to the studio for my shift now, but the boss is out on Friday nights, so I can basically just chill and make use of the gear there.
This is just WIP and Untitled, I plan on adding some percussion and maybe some other stuff as well.

Hey um, so don't yell at me or anything but here's a song or three (pick the least bad one) They all probably have some mixing issues [editline]19th March 2011[/editline] here's three more, fuck it I don't know which ones suck the least [editline]19th March 2011[/editline] oh yeah, I probably need to normalize these huh
Did you make any of these specifically for the album? It is definitely preferable that you create an original work for this album rather than contributing stuff that you've had lying around. [editline]19th March 2011[/editline] They're very good by the way.
It's awesome, I love it. :buddy: It kinda reminds me of the start of this song I made:
Just started this. Continue, y/n? Don't know if this is 'electronic ambient' though, as I've only used a single sample of my gaia synth, and the rest are samples of other stuff I recorded.
Done my bit, my demo is around here somewhere but this is a bit different. It's now called "Sugarfree Space Gum"

You know if you give people criticism they will probably give it back. [editline]19th March 2011[/editline] I skimmed through your songs and they sound fucking awesome though. [editline]19th March 2011[/editline] What vst do you use for the piano?

Anyone have any comments for my track? Use headphones. :v:
Anyone have any comments for my track? Use headphones. :v:
It's pretty awesome. Anyway added some drums and named my track, this might be the final version. But just wondering what you guys think and if anything should change.
Unrelated to the thread, but I just released my first EP. Check it out: http://audun.bandcamp.com/album/perception
I kinda like the drums, but I would like to see what it would be like with regular drums, with a slow tempo and kind of distant sounding with low volume and reverb. Just a thought, I dunno if you like the idea or if you think it's too much work. :v: It's good anyway. What the hey, I'll join the album. :v:
Awesome, added you to the front page.

If I get time I might try for slower drumming. That or if anyone has some standard drums and wants to record them for my song that would be cool.
Awesome, added you to the front page.
Can You added me to the list as well? and if you can put me under my Lord Cernunnos/UberWarri0r or something like that it would be nice since Lord Cernunnos is my Ambient/Dark Ambient project's name.
What's up guys; I got a couple of tracks I'd like to put forward. Not 100% sure if it's what you're looking for, but when creating both of these tracks I had a certain environment and train of thought in mind that I wanted to re create in my music. Sadly, I only use SoundCloud now to showcase my WIP's and live mixes, but you can still check them out at www.soundcloud.com/djimba I use ReverbNation to upload my full tracks (they aren't available for download until I decide to release them in an EP or a compilation album) if you go to my page you will see the song list, and the 2 I have in mind are the following: Glacial Timeout: A chill out liquid style track that has some nice melodies and the sporadic double time drum beats, I only just finished mastering this about an hour ago. Astraeus: The Greek titan of the stars, galaxies, astronomy etc - you can probably guess what this track it about So yeah, you're best bet is to just take a listen and let me know what you guys think :) http://www.reverbnation.com/djimba
If you would like to submit one, go for it. Make sure you normalize it at -3db in Audacity first, though.
