Exactly this. There is really no way of describing the feeling of existing outside of the realm of normal human consciousness, outside of time and space, almost. How can one explain the significance of connecting with the Mind at Large?
This is almost poetic
everyone should try marijuana and psychedelics at least once in their life.
For some people. My friend appreciated that I offered to get him smoking, and agreed it would be fun, but he has addiction problems in his life (without drugs at all), so I agreed with him that it's not the best idea for him to do drugs. Also, other health problems.
Fun.
Intense awareness. You feel every part of your body, and since you've taken advantage of being able to "feel" for so long, you realize every sensation you come in contact with. It doesn't change how things look (for me), but it makes me feel that amazing sense of awe when you see something beautiful. Like the itunes visualizer, when you aren't baked it's like, ok, cool. visualizer, awesome, I'm bored I'm gonna play some counterstrike. But when you're high you stare at that visualizer for maybe an hour, getting shivers, feeling the pulses of the music start at your head and shoot down your body, the bright lights and colors are the most amazing feeling to you, you forget about your surroundings and become encapsulated. One thing I REALLY want to do is play the 3DS high. I think my mind would explode.
we've had three of these threads already?
I've done a bit of an explanation in another thread. You really can't get any idea of what being high is like from someone describing it. Imagine explaining sight to a blind person, yes you can give them a nice description, but the description does nothing to give them an idea of what seeing is like. It's the same concept with drugs, you can explain the effects, but it really gives you no indication of what it would be like to be high. Basically what I'm saying is that there no explanation that can be given for you to know what it is like, especially because we have to put it into terms you can relate to. I get a huge change in my consciousness, and that is really difficult to explain to people who have never experienced it. Also, people get way different highs. There is a lot of overlap of course like food tasting really good, but I've discussed this stuff in depth with a lot of people and the effects I get are a lot different than what other people get.
actually people can induce euphoria without using drugs. taking a good run or jacking off or having sex... it's a lot easier to describe being high to someone with normal life experiences even if they haven't used drugs
What does that have to do with anything? In order for that to be saying anything you'd have to assume that the only effect from marijuana is euphoria. There is so much more than that. To also add, euphoria is an easy concept to understand, which a change in consciousness is not.
The reason I do drugs is because I like to get high, I like how it feels. It can mellow me out or it can stimulate me. It can also be a nice social thing aswell. I also like the fact that it makes me feel different, think different and the fact that it is changing my mind and doing things that wouldn't normally happen is just appealing to me.
It's like everything becomes lubricated
Depends on my state of mind and who I'm with. Most of the time, I feel very emotional. A joke will put me in to a fit of laughter, but a quick slap to the face can put me into deep depression. If we're smoking at someone's house and we're worried of getting caught, I get very paranoid.
For personal reasons, OP I'd suggest trying out. It's kinda like being drunk, but then again not really at all because it's totally different than for example cannabis. It is like.. not being sober, cannabinoids or whatever the fuck molecyles going through your body, and brain tissue! So knock yourself out
P fucking awesome.
For personal reasons, I'm never going to indulge in any kind of drug, but I really don't care what other people do with their lives, I've just been curious as to what it is like, in detail, when you are some form of intoxicated. Like, what do you see, hear, smell? How does it differ from being in a sober state? Etc. Vivid detail would be appreciated. I just find it interesting that so many people have fun with it, I understand why though.
You wanna read trip reports? me and my friends smoked a shit load of weed about a month ago and we mixed strains. hit some grand daddy purp and a lot of sour d. I think I probably inhaled like 2-4 grams of weed. minutes felt like hours, than we watched enter the void and I thought I was the guy for practically half the movie. Than my friend bumped me and asked if I was ok. I was sky high. FUCK I MISS SMOKING WEED
i was at a friends house with like 6 other people, and only one other person there knew i was high. everyone was talking while there was a scrubs episode on, and i seriously thought i was working at the hospital and was friends with JD and turk. i think i was staring at the TV for a solid 15 minutes. suddenly, one of the people said "this show sucks" i immediately turn around and stare at him for like 5 seconds before saying something like "no it doesnt" it was really funny now that i look back on it
I have an issue watching Scrubs while high because the show seems far too serious and deep. I'll pick out such a minute detail and wonder how it is going to be incorporated into that person's character in later episodes. It really stops becoming a comedy.
you should get high
I think you should at least try pot before you die. It is, in my opinion the least harmful durg and you should at least experience it once.
Adventure Time is the best thing ever high, by the way. It becomes really deep, and the colors are very vibrant, I think there's been only one time where I haven't, my friends even got me a Jake hat for Christmas because of it.

D o you know that its based on a post apocalyptic world? haha
Your friends are bros. We're all bros here and always offer others hits, infact some of us including myself have gotten their friends high completely off their own weed - smoking out your friends.
It's always better to smoke with your friends ;)
to the guy who started this thread ~ Don't let anybody force you to change your decision about drugs. If you don't want to then that's totally fine. Everybody has their own reasons to do drugs, for some it's because their reality is total shit and drugs make things better, drugs are an escape from a horrible reality. If you don't want to do drugs then that suggests that your life is fine and you have no reason to.
Just saying I think that is the worst reason to take drugs, and that if you are going to take drugs for that reason, it is a very bad idea.
Yeah, that's taking drugs for the wrong fucking reason. It should never be an escape. But a fun place to go (the trip I mean) to every once and a while, or alot! It's just fun

I'll watch the way newscasters interact on CNN and start thinking about interpersonal workplace tension and it stresses me out. Almost any kind of TV will make me reflect way too hard on how our society functions and I don't like it. Movies seem to be a way safer bet when baked.
getting stoned off weed to me is like super dof on garrysmod

It's just fun
Weed can help with real life issues too. Not to ESCAPE them, just to ACCEPT them. Smoking a bowl makes you realize that (for example) getting dumped is not the end of the world, and life goes on, within you and without you.
Ecstasy is great In a short description... imagine being in a room, music is playing, and your just chatting with your friends. Normal right? Now On E. the situation is EXACTLY the same. Except you get an extremely overwhelming sense that you are having the best fucking time in the world, and You could not be happier, and on top of that, the song that is playing in the background. Makes complete sense. While you listen, you completely understand why the artist chose each particular note individually. You wont understand unless you try it, but a pretty unanimous description among those who tried E is that "Everything feels right and correct. Everything"
OP, to me, gotten high on Friday for the first time (weed), everything was different. You just perceive everything differently. Turning your head feels weird, you also notice somethings, such as a not being able to see behind your head but being able to feel things behind, so you feel as if you were able to look at the back but lost that ability. At least for me, according to my friends it's different every time.
