It's lying on the streets. The meat was probably already full of diseases or stuff like that, since he didn't cut the bird and get the "fresh" part of the flesh, but a part that was already squeezed out. The sun probably shined on that bird for a few hours or so. Same as with other meats, if you let a piece of fresh meat sitting out while the sun shines on it for a long time, it probably causes some kind of food poisoning.

And you can still eat meat that has been sitting for awhile. The human stomach is stronger than you think. Although, I would avoid pork. I personally wouldn't eat roadkill, but it's not going to kill you.

As long as it isn't full of diseases, you're right, it won't kill you, but it's still kind of stupid because you never know what happened to it. Maybe some rabid dog took it in it's mouth or pissed on it :v: Blergh

Pigeon is actually quite nice (cooked, obvously not raw. and not the scrawny little city pigeons)
