From my experience I never relied on the pill alone. I mean sometimes I would just not use a condom but it was just an exception to the rule.
I mean, as effective as the pill can be, there's still the human factor which in this case can be something like "ops, I forgot to take the pill" or "Ops, I should have taken it an hour ago".
I always like to play safe with that so I usually carry a pair of emergency condoms with me just in case.
Sex without condoms may be more sensitive and pleasurable but it does not obligatorily ruin your orgasm.
