Money Destination 5.
Final Doshtination.
I wish that thread where you posted your movie ideas was still here. However, i'm not gonna bump it
Because i have an awesome concept for a movie. A disaster movie where all water is replaced with sand and all sand is replaced with water, so water reserves therefore was lacking.
[editline]7th May 2011[/editline]
No, i have an even better idea, it could be like in a more realistic version, where sand is NOT replaced with water, following the death of the human race. It follows 10 different families from parts from the world, 10 minutes each
The plot could be divided like this:
Part 1: Opening credits - 2 min
Part 2: Intro - 10 min
Part 3: The water is replaced - 4 min
Part 4: The struggle - 100 min
Part 5: Death of the human race - 25 min
Part 6: Conclusion - 7 min
Part 7: Credits - 6 min
Total: 154 min

Why doesn't anyone want to see the new Men in Black movie?

i'd absolutely love a new, good men in black movie, but it's most likely going to be a cash in
- The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1
Really? Harry Potter did it so we have to, too?
I mean, why can't they just make the last book and let this thing die so I can go back to living in a world without sparkling vampires?

Actually Harry Potter copied the idea. Part 1 & 2 were confirmed for Twilight then months later Harry Potter series took the idea as well.

actually, they originally planned to split goblet of fire into two parts, then revisited the idea later for the last film.
Twilight is not copying Harry Potter and Harry Potter is not copying Twilight.
Both movies end their series. And the end of a book series tends to be pretty big, especially when a war is involved. So you can expect those movies to be split into two parts to fit all the events in.
And haven't movies in the past been split into parts?

Yes such as Star Wars

Because MIB2 sucked ass.

I don't recall watching the first 2
What the fuck? Independence Day 2 in 2013 and then Independence Day 3 in 2014? Why? How do they know that ID2 is going to be good enough to warrant ID3?
I can't believe how many freaking sequels are coming out. Sure I'm looking forward to a few of them, but most of them seem unnecessary.

Avatar 2 and 3 both sound stupid

Only differences is that HP has an actual war, where people get killed, and I heard that the last book of the shit book series has no such war, and has the mary sue character scaring off a bunch of gay people who are supposed to be the most dangerous people there. Also, I think most people want to see the original ending where the main character of HP [sp]dies.[/sp]
Avatar 2 and 3 was coming after the success of the first one. Surprised at the new Independence Day.

You've got to be fucking kidding me, it's not even the final one. To be fair, I loved I,Robot when it came out and whatever you say about Indy 4, it was good fun.

One movie I want that's not on the list and not announced is Jurassic Park IV, directed by Spielberg. Love the books and the films (except the third film, talk about taking a dump on a franchise).
[editline]9th May 2011[/editline]
Oooh, Jurassic Park IV has been confirmed... by the director of the third one :(, though it's being developed with Spielberg :D!

Avatar 2 and 3 were coming regardless, it's James Cameron.
Ghostbusters 3? They better know what they're doing or I'll just spare myself the time and flush my childhood down the toilet. Oh wait, Indy 5 comes out the same year, guess I'll have to do that anyways.
Oddly enough, I want to see Top Gun 2. It might suck, but I sure do want to listen to a new version of Highway to the Danger Zone.

How the fuck are they going to do lethal weapon 5?

Wow. Well is there anything in the book that warrants the movie being split up into two parts?
Yes such as Star Wars
That's sort of different because the story was written to be told in that way.
A book has a story ark with a rise and fall in action. It seems illogical to me to have that split up into two separate movies. it seems like it loses it's effect if you build tension in one film and wrap things up in the next.
I could be wrong, but all I seen in Twilight splitting up the latest book into two films is an unnecessary attempt at prolonging the the franchise so they can make more money. I can't say that I wouldn't do the same as a film maker, but purely as a viewer, it annoys me.
What's with all the new Independence Days????? And 300 sequel? WTF?
attack of the show is playing the final destination 5 trailer tonight at 7pm EST
Sequels are always shit
They should stop making them
[editline]9th May 2011[/editline]
There are exceptions though
Another Ice Age?
Another Avatar?
Please, please, please don't turn these franchises into Shrek. They started great, then they'll slowly degrade into shit.

I know what you mean, like Saw FINALLY died off. Good choice, but some just are a waste.
I wish Cameron would go back to his good sci-fi days. Like "The Abyss".
