when you are presenting yourself as a public speaker, your character and appearance are as much valid critique as your message
I didn't know a forum was the same as a public speech. We're anonymous guys posting our views over the internet, it's good practice to argue the point instead of targeting a poster's looks or any other dumb shit you feel makes his posts any more or less relevant than your own.

I was uh
referring to the video
was he not? if he wasn't I'm mistaken
I got no problem with guys fashion sense but he doesn't have valid points.
I just think that it's a low blow and you make yourself look like an asshole. I don't know, my parents taught me not to make fun of people's looks. I guess my stupid garbage parents taught me a sense of humour.
I'll give you some credit, of all the obsessive anti-SJWs you could've posted, Razorfist definitely isn't the worst. At least you didn't post fucking Sargon.
that's a bit of a stretch to compare bullying a disabled kid to commenting on a person's (lack of) fashion sense for a bit of a laugh but alright dude, you do you.
Oh right, I'm sorry. When else someone does to someone against who you're not unsympathetic it's "bullying" when you do the same exact thing, making fun of people's looks, it's merely "commenting on a person's (lack of) fashion sense for a bit of a laugh".
Well yeah if you phrase it like that...
So the reason the Mexican Government is so corrupt and terrible is because people choose not to revolt against the government because they can just immigrate? By that logic the American Revolution should never have happened because colonists could have just moved west out of british influence. Why would any mexican citizen even consider revolution when any new form of government will be subject to the same corruption? Cutting off a serpents tail and watching it regrow is not progress.

Bloating up your own ego online? You mean like making fun of people's looks from the safety of your computer screen where you don't have to show your own face?
Bloating up your own ego online? You mean like making fun of people's looks from the safety of your computer screen where you don't have to show your own face?
It's a joke.
But then everyone starts talking about irrelevant stuff instead of the actual meat of the video.
luckily the meat of the video is pretty shit as well, so no big loss here
this dude's entire point hinges on the two massive assumptions that A. walling the mexicans in and letting tensions rise will undoubtedly result in a revolution and B. that said revolution would leave mexico better off than it is now. implicitly, there's also C. saying that this path will also leave mexico better off than any alternative paths, or whatever we've been doing so far.

Yeah. Reminds me of Zé Manel.

If you really believe you "need" the wall. There is something SERIOUSLY wrong with you.
Black and white video
enough posters to kill a man in a fire

May not be for everyone. May probably change someone's stance on the wall but i'm still not convinced.
Take this with a grain of salt.
what a great choice of thumbnail, really makes me think that gay leather daddy put a lot of thought and research in to this video :v:
Frankly we need a dome that covers the US.
refute his points, not his style
I wasn't going to bother replying since I actually agree with most of his points but no, it's perfectly valid to criticize the character he is trying to portray in his videos. The sunglasses, the leather jacket, the gloves, the meticulously postered background is obviously being done for a reason. and he appears the exact same in almost all of his videos. It might not fit your particular code of ethics but the fact is that people as a general rule are judged based on their appearance, doubly so when they want to preach from a pulpit as it were. People can absolutely bash him for looking frankly ridiculous without spending an iota of thought refuting his points.
As to his actual points, I generally agree that border control to prevent illegal immigration while making legal immigration a faster process benefits both the United States and Mexico. He advocates cutting through the bureaucracy then in the same breath says that it shouldn't become easier because terrorism, so that part seemed to be dissonant. What I disagree with his how overstated the humanitarian angle is. He never really explains why tighter border security would inevitably lead to a revolution in Mexico. I guess the idea is that the people willing to leave their country for greener pastures would turn next to open revolt if that is no longer an option for them but I'm not really convinced.
B. that said revolution would leave mexico better off than it is now. implicitly
Good point, I tend to forget about this one as well. Historical precedent tells us that a better nation emerging from the fires of revolution is quite rare.

I'm not sure what you're trying to do but we're talking about The Rageaholic here and him alone. His video is just shit. And it doesn't help when he presents himself as a joke, his appearance and the point he's trying to make.
A revolution in Mexico would be difficult, if not next to impossible.
First you've got a military and police that is almost entirely anti-insurgent. The cops aren't really there to enforce the law and the military isn't really there to 'defend' mexico, they are there pretty much to keep people from killing each other or breaking havoc. Just look at how effective were the riots over the increase in gas prices.
The country is kind of divided too.
People who live in the north of mexico have a very different perspective from people who live in the south of Mexico.
It's pretty much an inner conflict between the haves and the haves-not.
One side wants the government to stop being corrupt and to care more about its citizens. The other side tells them to fuck off and stop relying on the government for everything and the entire country is a never ending dispute between these two people.
These people will never get their shit together.

sometimes it turns out the people you wall away were the people you had the most in common with ;~;
This whole idea of "let's tear everything down with no insurance that the new system we get to replace it will be better than the old system we had in the first place" is just dumb. I see some people talking about it with regards to trump too. Taking a wrecking ball to society doesn't somehow magically mean that the new society being rebuilt, with less resources and less time and fewer people and all of the anger and violence that destroying society caused in the first place, would be better than what we have now. There's no logic to it.
Rageaholic's opinions on pretty much everything go down the shitter as soon as you realize he managed to both praise Omikron: The Nomad Soul as a good game and claim "The Glitcher 3" (hilarious and original) was released by Square Enix.

Every game that has at least a few noticable glitches is a glitchfest to him.
