I had rabbits when I was younger. My dad feed them carrots but not the green top, and they died. The Looney Toons lie.
Guinea Pigs are pretty awesome too. They don't smell too bad, they're pretty cute, and they can be very friendly.
get a real animal instead
hamster make nice pets but they are EXTREMELY high maintenance
rabbits are for pussies

see what i did there
Rabbits kind of suck. They lack the obedience of dogs and the intellect of cats. (And the thickness of dogs and 'fuck you I'm a cat' of cats for that matter)

At least rabbits will actually play and not run off and sleep in closet all day like cats do.
They eat fucking everything.
They shit everywhere and piss on everything as well as eat everything made of fabric and wallpaper.
No, thats a cat.

Loved the book, hated the movie.

Not if you eat them first.
Get 2 Guinea pigs instead :buddy:
I see rabbits less of an alternative to dogs and cats and more of a stepping stone to dogs and cats.
My mom snuck a bunny into her room in college. She put a box down with newspaper in the closet. Bunnies can go to the litter box just like cats, haha. But you have to be super careful with your electronics. Bunnies LOVE wires.
Also, you shouldn't have just one. You need two of them. Two males, or a fixed male and female. They need to be together.
If possible, let them be in your backyard and watch them dig burrows. :3
If you've got them in a cage outside and you can't watch them, cover the cage with fabric. If they get scared or bullied by animals outside, like a fox or a dog, they can have a heart attack, freeze, and die. Also, bunnies are quiet- but when they scream, oh god. It's awful.
fuckers get scared to death.
Really.
There cute but keep em in a cage outside.. not inside, i had mine inside and it constantly pissed and dropped coco puffs outside the cage onto the carpet.. I put it outside in its cage rapped in blankets for a night to keep warm and fucking stray cats clawed through the towel and tryed eating him giving him a heart attack.. D: i miss my little thumper oh so dearly. I say get one there good pets just gotta have the right living standards for em.
I own over fifty rabbits.
No, seriously.
It's awesome.

This is the beginning of a glorious rivalry, Cheesedelux.
You better get a Bunny and not a Rabbit
Well, I guess I have to say yes to a bunny rabbit. :3:
I'm gonna get either a black or white one, but what should I name it?
I had 2 rabbits, in 1 year they became 16. But if you are thinking about it get one, they are fun and if you get an active and mellow one like me you are in luck they will stay on your lap for 30-45 mins or longer depending on how much exercise they got. Litter training is a must. Also if you have a garden put them in there on the weekends they love it especially when it is getting colder and the remains of the plants are still there (i.e. the stalks, leaves) they will tend the garden for you and rip out all of the undesirable plants and get a lot of nutrients too.
[editline]23rd December 2010[/editline]
Tip: If possible DO NOT buy them from a pet store as they are usually not tended to as they need and thus are far more unfriendly, see if a petting zoo has any they are giving away this usually happens as they breed so fast. When they are used to human interaction it is a day and night difference in their behaviour.
Fuck cages, if I get a rabbit I'm building it a shed with insulation and shit for it.
They just die :(
