My parents were considering sending me to one of these camps (for doing poorly in school, not for homosexuality.) I thought it was just a myth that they come in the night and take you. This is awful.

I know a kid, who was sent up to these camps cause he was disrespectful towards his parents. And was a general douche-bag to everyone. He was also bisexual and that probably played a part. He came back though being even more of an asshole, heavily medicated. In the last 15 months after his "boot camp" he has manged to get into a fist brawl with a girl, make fun of a kid because he has epilepsy, be physically abusive to his girlfriend. And has attempted to rape her. The kid entered a program similar to this a complete asshole, and left it an abusive monster. These camps, and schools are damaging to kids in many ways it seems. From the kid i described, it made him even worse of a person, and from the OP's link, it has proven to break kids down.

IMO these camps are worthy of UN intervention at this point.

I always wondered what would happen if one were to rebel against these people. You know, not follow rules, disobey "counselors," etc. What would they do? Its not a prison, they couldn't keep you there.

Fruit for thought: 99% of muslims are peaceful, and do not condone any form of what the extremists try to make Islam. I approve these people. 100% of Mormons/Polygamists approve of this shit and have it as part of their lifestyle. These shitheads need to be wiped. And wiped quickly.

You'd think that the people there would be able to get out at that point if they tell the police what's going on but apparently not. As for disobedience, it's been said before: Tackles, solitary confinement, and just plain weird disturbing shit.
