Some truly great things come out of it, people are able to escape prosecution and find homes in the US where they can freely practice whatever religion they want. However, it also brings some terrible things. Those terrible things are the minority. Yes, these schools are terrible. Yes, sending your own child to one is terrible. But the parents that do so are a tiny minority. The only reason why Americans aren't outraging about this is because a select few people do a good job at keeping it hush-hush. The few that try to take legal action always do a shit job at it and don't gather and fucking evidence so the schools get off scott free. I mean, everyone talks about how Texas is a shithole full of religious extremists and whatever, but I have lived in Texas my whole life. I have always been surrounded by people with logical ideals that, though I might disagree with them from time to time, aren't ridiculous or anything like that. Every once in a while, some crazy hardcore Fox-news fed Republican sprouts up, but they quickly get shut down by pretty much everyone else. There's so much immaturity in this thread that it's painful to read. Dipshits making assumptions about an entire country based off of the actions of a party of extremists. Dipshits talking about how anyone and everyone involved in this kind of stuff should be tortured and whatnot. Grow the fuck up. The world is not black and white. It's not as easy as good vs. evil.
