The hell is "rebirth"
Sticking a child into a vagina and trying to give birth to it again? :geno:
this story about kids being bullied in that school
Unless you haven't been reading the other posts in this thread, many children have died under this program's watch in cruel ways, and no catholic school you cite can compare to this, don't kid yourself.
I am Christian and I don't like homosexuality
Give me one logical reason as to why.

Guess he tried it and didn't like the taste.

Wrap child in blanket thing, push you out with pillows.
Candace was wrapped in a sheet to simulate a womb as adults pushed against her with pillows for 70 minutes. They urged her to emerge reborn and bond with her adoptive mother, Jeane Newmaker of Durham, N.C.

in what way?
I personally don't like it. Beliefs, opinions, ect. Thats all I'm saying. I don't want to turn this into anything.
But I have gay friends. I love them to death. Even if I don't agree with their lifestyle I wont force them or urge them to change for anything. Its who they are and who they want to be. They have their own free will to do whatever they want.

I must applaud you for condemning these acts, but why do you not like homosexuality?

I tried Googling it
[release]–noun

a new or second birth: the rebirth of the soul.
2.
a renewed existence, activity, or growth; renaissance or revival: the rebirth of conservatism. [/release]

Oh wow.
This story is extremely disturbing I feel empathy for those who had to go through with ANYTHING similar to the treatments described here.

what the FUCK
Think what you want but come back when you have done some research please, this story about kids being bullied in that school ain't got nothing on catholic schools.
Kids were beaten and a few murdered, many hung themselves and were treated like slaves for some regime.
My own older brother went to a catholic school and I have plenty of friends who went to them also and none of them even experienced any form of abuse at all. Also this girl was kidnapped from her house, with her parents permission, and taken to a place where kids have been beaten, abused, brainwashed and a few murdered. Did you not read that part? You make out like it's just a bit of verbal abuse.
I disagreed for that reason. Don't assume everyone who disagreed with you had no clue. Maybe your school was like that but if there was a school like that it would have probably been reported in the news or some sort of article at least online of one child telling people about it (if there is something like this then fine, not saying I have read everything that has ever been posted online ever.)
Care to name the school you went to?

4/21/97 Devereaux, Rutland, Mass. Asphyxiation while restrained after a dispute about his teddy bear
Robert was restrained for 10 minutes, face down on the floor, after a dispute escalated over his missing teddy bear. Investigators found a significant delay in emergency response. The staffer who restrained the boy left him lying, unresponsive, on the floor. No criminal charges were filed.[/release]

What the fuck is happening?
woah
This kind of shit comes straight from 1984. It's very, very hard for me to say that the united states as a whole is a modern 1st world country with shit like this happening.
Like I said, Utah may or may not be a 1st world state, but this is exclusive to that state, which is full of religious extremists.
The whole concept of "Rebirth" seems like something straight out of a Nazi Internment Camp.
Those therapists in the story Judas showed are heartless bastards.
Wow, that's horrible. If I were her I would cut all contact with my parents. The kidnappers would have a hell of a time getting me out of my room as well.
I personally don't like it. Beliefs, opinions, ect. Thats all I'm saying. I don't want to turn this into anything.
You mean you've tried it and found yourself not liking it or you just don't like it without knowing anything about it?
You guys are so ignorant. You see an example of bad religion or religion taken to far, and you say
"heehee fuck religion go atheists 666 kill god heehee" (a bit overexaggerated besides the fuck religion part) but you guys are being so ignorant.

Probably not relevant, but I went to a Catholic secondary school and it was fine, no problem with me being an atheist.

brainwashing them into a brand new person.

Also, this is about as vague and weightless of a statement as you can make. Are you simply saying that you don't like gay sex, or simply that you don't like homosexuality for some other reason?
This actually isn't legal. You cant force anyone in the US- even minors- to do something or go somewhere they don't want to do/go to, ESPECIALLY by force.
Wow there's a fucking lot of deaths and nearly all of them are choking from restraint. So they basically choke you until you give in or die? sounds really humane especially considering it's just a place for kids that disagree with their parents!

My dad went to a Catholic school for many years. (back in the 1960s or so) he said the only thing bad about it was the teachers were really strict.

I'm trying not to make this thread about me. Can we continue on with the topic of the thread and not focus on me? This kind of argument/discussion/debate we seem to be approaching never ends well.
I am Christian and I don't like homosexuality but I can't deny them the unalienable rights just because of their gender. So many Christians I know just blindly "hate" Gays (If they hate anybody, tell them they don't love God because its true) and say they don't agree with gay marriage. The thing they don't know is married couples get special tax breaks whereas single people do not. I think this place is disgusting and only if somebody feels they don't want (or need) to be a certain way should this be even CONSIDERED being allowed (obviously with strict regulation to where you can't brainwash kids and ect)
uugh. This world...
agree

I love how people think that all republicans are spawns of satan. Also, abortion is such a touchy subject. On one hand, you have the fact that it actually IS impeding on women's rights. On the other hand, however, you're permitting the death of a human embryo.

This is not about religion.
I don't care whether or not an employee is religous, they're all still massively cruel bastards for what they do to these kids.
