That said if someone tries to kidnap you in the middle of the night you should probably be doing everything you can to stop them, up to and including killing them. Let the legal system sort it out later, the judge and jury would have to be unbelievable fucktards to give you anything close to a normal sentence.

These people go through regular training and certification in self defense and takedown maneuvers. Good luck.
Self-defense or not, these aren't Navy SEALs we're talking about.
Shit I live in Utah and smoke but if I had to go there, all my efforts would be to get the fuck out. my parents are kinda fucked up like druggies but I doubt I'd be sent there.
The fact that it's legal in the US is appalling.
Yes because kidnapping is legal....
the one for my state :frown: http://www.horizonacademy.us/index.html
Funny story, I'm on the website. They bussed a bunch of us from Cross Creek to do a photo shoot for Horizon, and turns out, I'm still on there.
the one for my state :frown: http://www.horizonacademy.us/index.html
After researching for a while, I've read that this "institution" is actually much, much better than any of the ones mentioned previously in the thread.
It's like my mind can't take this in. I'll spread the word as much as possible.
What the hell... we need to do somthing, I don't think a 7 year old needs to be put to the ground. :(
"Placed* in prone restraint position" *Forced and/or pushed down with violent force sufficient to cause damage to body and/or head Come now, "prone restraint position"? You've gotta be fucking kidding me. It's called lying down. Or being forced to lie down. They use euphemisms so it doesn't sound like the employees were pushing their luck and bullying small children and it went horribly wrong.
calling the teen escorts service kidnapping is like calling scientology a scam. everyone knows that's what it basically is but they're technically a governmental agency and so that is considered just part of the program.
I know I'm being an internet tough guy, but holy shit if two people came in the middle of the night to take me at all, no matter what their intention is I would try to beat the shit out of them.
The hell is "rebirth" Sticking a child into a vagina and trying to give birth to it again? :geno:
That's a fetish.
And i thought Utah was fucked up when i read the Nat. Geo. article on the mormon community of ~300 people where the oldest living member is a direct blood relative to every person there. This seriously brings fucked up to another level
Lets all start the Facepunch Brainwashing Rally 2011.
Lets all start the Facepunch Brainwashing Rally 2011.
We can call it "Facewash"
its true, John Locke said it himself, that if a governing body generates tyranny, then the people must act in order to prevent tyranny
Americans don't act for shit these days. Just when your leaders order you.
Americans don't act for shit these days. Just when your leaders order you.
Or when the booze runs out.
After researching for a while, I've read that this "institution" is actually much, much better than any of the ones mentioned previously in the thread.
Ha! It once was, maybe, but now Horizon literally occupies half of the Cross Creek building.
That's a fetish.
Don't you mean unbirthing, which is ten times as fucked up and falls within the purview of the vore fetish?
I was speaking in general Sublata.
Why do people like this live outside of prison? The fact that it's still operating makes me furious. Also, as a christian in the U.S, I can admit that most American christian's are complete failures. Usually the ones that tell me not to say the word "Hell", are the ones using drugs, constantly engaging in premarital sex, and are just violent people. So please, >>>whenever you see an American christian being a idiot, don't group all of us together.<<< kthxbye
This whole thing is terrible.
I don't know if this has been posted already, but their site was not very secure
I know not all of these institutions are like this, and this happens all around the world. But sometimes the thought of living in America scares me.
Two things: 1, as for not regarding America as a first world country, allow me to remind you that in the rest of the world, lest use Uganda's 'kill gays' thing as an example, treatment for gays is even worse. 2, There are some things that need to be purged with fire, cleansed in searing heat, removed to everyone else can have a better life. The people who run this camp and all their associates make the list.
I know not all of these institutions are like this, and this happens all around the world. But sometimes the thought of living in America scares me.
Thanks, I suppose living in the U.S. means I'm brave, or blissfully ignorant.
That's fucked up, I'd like to grab a shotgun and give a lesson to the staff.
Internet tough guy alert. "I disagree with these people breaking laws so I'll commit a mass murder on the staff. Yeah, that'll show 'em :smug:"
Wait, what?
Oh boy, "Widow Makers", the creepy camping fanatics call them. Basically, sometimes a tree branch is REALLY loose, REALLY big, and REALLY high up. Eventually, one falls. Sometimes it falls on a tent and the unfortunate soon-to-be-greasy-meat-pancake.
Internet tough guy alert. "I disagree with these people breaking laws so I'll commit a mass murder on the staff. Yeah, that'll show 'em :smug:"
yes. yes it would.
before anyone starts seriously bashing religion, please remember that the people behind this are mormon and not catholic. i know very nice catholic people who regularly help in homeless shelters — you just don't hear about them. nearly all christians aren't bad (at least, outside of the USA). the mormons, on the other hand... i have no reason to believe they can do any good to humanity whatsoever
He's right, it's not religion thats the problem, thinking that is just as ignorant as the people you're talking about. Its extremism, which religion, while it doesn't promote it, opens a path that is easy to jump onto and follow. (even more so for the lesser educated folk) When this happens that family will generally stay within those bounds of extremism because these people teach and enforce it on their children. My grandmother told me the other day that she forbid me to read and of Richard Dawkin's works, or anything written by an atheist. She said that they were trying to brainwash me, I asked her "Well don't priests and the like do the same exact thing to an extent." To which she responded " Well yeah, but it's good for you, I would rather people be brainwashed to be good and follow god's word." That frankly scares the shit out of me. No, it's not religion, it's uneducation . If everyone was smart enough to realize that the bible is not literal then the amount of nut jobs would drop significantly. The point of parenting is to teach kids how to think, not what to think. Perhaps getting rid of religion will fix it but we all know that won't happen. ( To clarify, religion does not equal belief.)
