Top-down PW is on the way to becoming the next great gamemode.
My attempts at aliens:

Some bug-like creatures.

Smaller ones are just scouts/drones. In case you couldn't tell, they fly.
The really big one is a Hive. Hives release swarms of tiny creatures that throw themselves at the enemy without regard for their lives. Their tiny little claws, horns and teeth are quite useless for each individual but in a swarm they can cause a lot of damage.
(These aliens all only have three legs).
I am not very happy with how all this came out, actually. Oh well. It's still a WIP.
Right now I'm doing a hummer with a good, but rather blurred, reference picture.
