All I remember was being really happy...
great cartoons, no responsibilities, good times.
I miss them :smith:
Also candy necklaces, how can you forget?
Off-white, with a slight brownish haze everywhere. Uncomfortably warm, but with incredible cartoons.
This is how I remember them.
Most people recall things from being 5 years old.
If you're born 1990 you will know what it was like. But you will remember more trivial matters as world news never reached you.
Right, trivial things like tv shows and nintendo. That's fine, but if someone asked you to sum up the decade, and you say "Keenan and Kel.", its not really helpful. Of course everyone has childhood memories, I'm not saying they don't, I'm just saying that nobody can fully experience a time period based on their 5 year old memories.
I was born in 88 and I don't really remember anything in particular about the 90s other than a clunky radio and my toy cars. I was too young to really use the internet, and I never knew the TV shows would get worse in the future, so I took them for granted and only now start to appreciate them.
I was born in the early 90's so all my early childhood memories were from the 90s. Slow as shit internet, bulky old computers, actually going outside to play. Nowadays it feels like all kids do is stuff with technology. Anybody remember car phones? My family had one.
Before cellphones

Heh, My uncle was in a sauna meeting with a Nokia representative (he had certain connections due to working for a tv-company) and the guy brought one of these for show. Everyone was like "Holy shit this thing almost fits in your pocket!"
The best cartoon shows that will never be topped.
Well, it was in the past there's always that good nostalgia feeling so everyone is going to say good things that they remember about it. Honestly the only good thing about it was the music.

What about the glorious creation of techno?

that 2
although im sure techno started around in the late 80s
Disney still made good movies in the 90's. Y2K really hit Disney hard.
Also, fighting with my brother on who gets to play the Sega Saturn.
From what I remember, the 90s were cool but nothing that amazing. They were a relatively uneventful era, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Fun 90's trivia!!
Saving Private Ryan was released in 1998.
Yeah funny that, I was at the filming of the beach scene in Wexford at the time. They had a load of Reserve lads putting on US army gear for extras. I was still a lad at the time but I remember my brother walking around with the gear. I remember thinking I wish I was old enough.

The dawn of modern PC gaming.
Oh man this thread is giving me a 90's flashbaaaaaaack!
All I can remember, really is grunge music, boy bands, and Pokemon. Every day. All the time.
Also, every store ever had those free CD's of AOL. And everyone wore strange, bright, clashing colors like teal and purple nylon jackets.
Oh! Also, there was this really cool place called, "Outside." I think it's been closed down since then. I haven't really checked.
The only thing I remember from the 90's is Pauly Shore.

The patterns in that video were everywhere in the 90's.
Fucking everywhere.
Why? I mean, it looks nice now, but only because it makes me so nostalgic.
I liked the '80s better.
Sega
I miss it so much.
arcy baby~
~rayjay!!
The Cartoons where fantastic.
But aside from that, I didn't like the 90's at all.
Nirvana
No fashion sense, just straight cut blue jeans and a big shirt.
NES games were still being made.
SNES was out and new, until N64 came along.
Low resolution TV's.
It was like now, but a lot of technology was very new to the public, such as computer/internet, cell phones.
Up until the mid 90's no one could really afford a cell phone and computers were the bomb. No one really knew how to keep track of each other until then. AKA The world wasn't connected?
Lots of Nick at Night TV shows, such as Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Full House, and yes.. Pokemon.
