Where are you at, and how long ago were these?

Monroe, NY and about an hour ago.
I'll take a picture of the parking lot from inside every hour or so. I'll go out if the bridge over the stream (Can't see it in these pics) gets flooded, if I can.

Safe to say New York's still getting hit hard?
Safe to say New York's still getting hit hard?
I guess haha
Well, i slept through it. i can say i slept through a hurricane now. it rolled into NJ about 4 or 5 in the morning, i woke up and theres nothing but a bunch of branches everywhere. i'll take a drive around town with my camera and see i anything serious happened.
Still just a moderate rainstorm up here, looks like the bad stuff may just miss us here in East Mass.
Starting to rain harder here in Boston.
And like everything else they over-hyped it
Hmm, not much happened since yesterday, I haven't lost power, the small flooding in my basement sank back down, just a bunch of broken branches around my house. It's kinda eerie, there is literally no sound outside except for the whispers of the wind and occasional branch hitting the ground. One of my friends lost power last night, which sucks for him cause he just got GTA 4 two days ago :v:
I heard some people without power will have to stay without power for over two weeks, hopefully they are just being as exaggerated as they always are.
Spoke too soon, power just went out. Hah.
Also, greatest picture so far from the Hurricane, comes from Puerto Rico:

Yes, it is exactly what you think it is
Either the news is exaggerating a lot or you northern guys just aren't prepared at all. Here in Florida, everything is hurricane proof and 50mph winds are nothing and not even a category 1.

Why would we be prepared for something that reaches us maybe once every decade or so?

So, I take it he offered loans?
It's not even raining any more, what the hell.
Dang, our power went out for an hour and the winds haven't even reached 20 mph here in NH. It
's on now, and we got our generator and pumps ready.
I am the luckiest motherfucker
Still have power AND no trees fell on my house (yet)
Just got nailed, HARD. I mean, we got fucking RAIN, along with 20 MILE AN HOUR WINDS.
So far it's been heavy rain since... probably 1am, damned windy too. Two power outages. Outlook for the day doesn't seem particularly good for my ass-end of New York.
This is going to sound horrible, but from what I've been experiencing so far, this is really anticlimactic.
So I guess the fact that at least 10 people have died as a result of this storm hasn't satisfied you?

Good sir, are you suggesting that photo I posted is shopped?
...because now I think I agree. :(
Hope that all is well for you guys.
Edit: Wait, why does the flag thing say that I'm in America.

Where ARE you then?

-snip-
now that its over: about 7 trees fell just around my house, and my tv satellite is crooked.
Anything of mine that got hit didn't get damaged at all or barely.
Well, looks like the only damage I got was scattered branches and leaves
no substantial damage in my immediate neighborhood.
also got high as fuck during the whole thing and it was mad chiLL
Witness the horrifying and utter devastation this storm has brought to Brooklyn, New York!

A disaster of supreme scale. Look at all the branches on the ground! Just look at them!

Except you have no idea what I'm saying. We were told to expect some horrible, apocalyptic nightmare when in reality, all we got was a standard rainstorm with a little bad wind. Hence, anti-climax. Get over yourself.
Well, I've had no power since 5am. But I have a plan for today. Im going to drive around town with my dad and take pictures of flooded roads.
My whole town is. Flooded except for me since I live on a mountain.
V:v:V
Half of my town is flooded.. oh joy
