8/27 never forget
I'm inland, so I'm not doing all that much.
Also as for preparation, I took down some hanging plants and played Deus Ex...
I hate to say it, but that looks fake. There's bad jagged edges in the image. Unless the picture quality is just that bad.
Looks fine to me.
Why would NASA lie, anyway?
I got rain and strong winds here in nj.
I think a branch broke off a tree near us.
It is going directly through me, I will probably be in the center of it. Not really doing much besides bringing the lawnmower inside.
im in southern CT

Oh boy! You caught them! I can't believe you found out their "evil" plan to take fake images from space of the Hurricane :v:!
Two inches of water on the sidewalk in northeastern Massachusetts, and I don't give a single fuck.

Nah they take pictures of hurricanes all the time.

Same. Wind is already picking up; it's gonna be an interesting 16-18 hours.
Just took a walk outside, streets are empty, (A few cars now and then) and Police patrolling, some sitting in parking lots on or near busy areas.
It feels like shits gonna hit the metaphorical fan any second now.

Meh, It's just raining here. Winds aren't even that strong.
7 deaths apparently.

Was it the idiotic weather weirdos that stand right at the center of hurricanes and tell everybody else to get out?
My backyard is currently flooded. Hopefully I can get Deus Ex downloaded before it gets bad.

Yes they are literally "Hurricane Watchers" like what kind of moron are you to watch a Hurricane.
a Tornado in Lewes, Delaware.

People being in the wrong place at the wrong time, being crushed by trees and branches.
People being in the wrong place at the wrong time, being crushed by trees and branches.
I think you mean the people who think it's okay to go outside when debris is flying all over the place.

Man, good luck to everyone. As much as I hate England im thankful we don't have to deal with stuff like this. The only thing we have to worry about is who's going to make the next cup of tea.

The reporters that go out there are almost the only view we have of how bad it really is, and while their job is dangerous and somewhat foolish, it's quite important. Just worry about your own ass and stay inside.

While I'm quite certain you're talking more about the non-qualified average joe standing around like an idiot, actual, trained storm watchers/chasers find this stuff absolutely fascinating.
Hell, I'd absolutely love to go tornado chasing.

This feels relevant, even though it's referring to the East Coast's recent 5.8 earthquake.

I know its referring to our Earthquake. Those poor poor chairs never stood a chance.
Well I'm sitting here with my window open, enjoying the nice breeze that has been rolling through.
Most disappointing hurricane I've been through.

This is the NY/NJ area as of 9:40 EDT. So far so good here.
Bad rain, bad wind, tornado warnings, roof is starting to leak. Tonight is gonna be fun, and that's not the worst of it. Tomorrow is going to be even better.
