Nightmare story
Ok, just to knock off a few points. The dreams you dont remember are usually the non-lucid ones. Thats because it falls out of your brain incredibly fast if you dont try to remember it as soon as you wake up. Almost everyone doesnt remember much about a dream. Now, i've heard the whole "i dont think i dream" thing 100 times and i know that its not true. Normal people dream, the only time you dont dream is if you have a serious psychosis or mental disorder. You (directed at all the people who think they dont dream) do dream, you just dont remember it. Lastly about your first paragraph, its completey normal to not have that many nightmares as an adult. Children suffer the most nightmares and sometimes even night terrors. Most of the time they grow out of it with age, however i do now someone who has regular night terrors and is seeking help for it. Almost forgot, if you dont lucid dream, the dreams you do have will be all about your id (your innermost desires and needs) so yes most of those dreams that you have are what you described, is correct.
About lucid dreaming, i do it a lot and thanks to the Dreams Megathread i've gotten very good at controlling my dreams. Now, i dont do the whole pinching thing mainly because i feel like it makes things worse. The lack of pain is scary and you might just turn it into something worse (like ripping off your flesh). I use the nose method, where i plug my nose and try exhaling out of it. In a dream you can breathe no problem, even while plugging your nose. Or you would try closing your teeth and try pushing your tongue through. In a dream you will stick your tongue right through as though your teeth arent there. Although this could make you panic and teeth may start to fall out. Anyway the nose method is the best.
About controlling your dream, it does happen where i realize im lucid dreaming and it turns into a nightmare. This is mainly because i panic and imagine the worst that can happen. There was a time where i summoned my subconscious and asked him "what is my biggest fear" and he threw me into a nightmare situation. So, yeah dont do that. Also, dont look into mirrors, they either show you, or your biggest fear, and scares the bejeesus out of you. Anyway to wake myself up before things go bad, i either scream, "wake up" or try opening my eyes as wide and open as possible. Otherwise i just control the dream, ive been able to give my self superpowers, turn fears into sexy women, so on and so forth. It just takes a LOT of practice.
I've never had a drug induced dream, so i dont know if the op couldnt get up because of the drug. You might get your answer in the Dreams Megathread though, if its still up that is, i havent been there in a while.
what the fuck happened
im not allowed to use my phone past 12am cuz its for work purposes only and i bitched the fuck out my ex's step mom cuz she's a fucking cunt and she threatened to show the cops the text i sent her past 12 which is a breach of my conditions so i thought the cops were gonna come but she didn't do it..
When I was a kid, and not on anything, I remember being shaken in my bed and then looking up and no one was there :tinfoil:
sleep paralysis

a mild hallucination. I had a nightmare not to long ago where a crazed family member was pissed off at me, so much so that he broke into my house at night and attempted to murder me while i was asleep. I literally woke up mid scream but i didnt wake anyone up thankfully. I then sat there for 2 hours unable to go to sleep because i could sense him just waiting to pounce. I heard noises as though someone was there but there wasnt. Your mind can make you see, hear, believe anything and its a scary thought to imagine that what you experience just isnt real.
