Breaking news: People like different things, Nitro836 astonished!
SPecifically, the seething spitefulness people like to see. Wonder if that sort of preference for "entertainment" possibly tells something about that who likes it.

Thank the lord!
With a channel like his, I think he might have had it coming, just like that tastless prank channel. If you've actually watched his stuff you'd know that the "hate" part is kind of meant to be a joke and not meant to be taken seriously, and there are people who are 5000% more abrasive than his 'worst' video, like Keemstar, and yet he's still up. WHAT 90% of youtube would be down if you had power over it
Awesome to hear! For some reason, the thread title isn't changing when I tried to change it. Can an admin add (HIS CHANNEL IS BACK AS OF 20th JANUARY) next to the thread name?

Dunno how that doesn't break community guidelines. also; http://techraptor.net/content/i-hate-everything-youtube-channel-terminated-by-unclear-youtube-guideline-infractions
Oh jesus
Keemstar called a random old dude a pedo and had him doxxed heavily. Dunno how that doesn't break community guidelines.
yeah, it just shows how shit youtube is how channels that actually break ToS aren't removed
Oh jesus
Cool Cat vs IHE is one of my favorite Streisand-effect dramas of 2015 also I'm 99% sure CC was still behind it. I'd put money down that you could throw a few bucks at some shady website and essentially outsource mass reports through a pack of throwaway accounts
When the humor's dry enough to make sandpaper from, dry enough to make people physically thirsty from listening it, I guess I don't pick up on it. IMO, Saving Private Ryan is comedy gold the few times it cracks a joke, in comparison to IHE.
Did I ever insinuate that it was a bad thing that you don't like his style of humor or just didn't pick up on it? No, I simply said that you probably just didn't pick up on it. And that's ok! You don't have to like it, but at least your criticisms should come from somewhere realisitic, because his videos are most certainly comical, just not for your taste.
tbh it's sad how coolcat legitimately thinks he helps children it's like watching a man try to convince a man with no legs he can win the Olympics
[t]http://www.leonneal.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/SPORT-01.jpg[/t] I'm not sure you even need an analogy though. His whole message was anti-bullying and he reacted to some light mocking with the biggest fucking shitflinging brigade he could muster trying to bully IHE into removing the bad press on his old and verifiably awful friendly mascot pitch I mean, if we're going the wheelchair route, I guess you could say it was akin to singing and dancing about disabled kids in wheelchairs being capable of growing up to be perfectly normal adults and even be olympic champions, but somebody points out his presentation is goofy (let's just say it's insensitive to make your character's whole presentation a dance on working legs) so he hunts down the guy who pointed it out, cuts him off in a parking lot and parks sideways across his handicap spot, knocks them out of their wheelchair and tosses it over a fence, then tells them they'll never amount to anything because they're broken, now TAKE BACK WHAT YOU SAID ABOUT ME BEING INSENSITIVE ABOUT HANDICAPS like 0-60 irony ragemobile
With a channel like his, I think he might have had it coming, just like that tastless prank channel. I wonder if the flagging system is employing a bad example of people being able to amass flaggings until a threshold of flags is reached and the automated procedure deletes the video. On the subject of IHE, I watched a few of his videos and had a question pop into my mind. An honest question that makes me concerned for his well being. Why would somebody dedicate an entire channel to the emotion of pure hatred of things? There's all these emotions and you choose to be vitriolic, all these flavous and you choose to be bitter. I mean, even channels or people critiquing things like movies in odd ways tend to find humor in the badness of the subject matters they discuss, like the late Roger Ebert did if you've read his reviews of some bad movies. But this IHE guy just straight up despises things like a textbook nihilist, without humor or mood lightening comments. But then again, his videos are probably not meant to be enjoyed as much as to be hatred fuel for those who sympathize with him.
It's just a name, most of the time he doesn't hate the things in the videos even. It's a lame name and his humor is a pretty lukewarm but it's not like he's some pessimist on the brink of suicide spewing out hate on everything. That being said I do enjoy his videos, he's just not particularly funny.

This is probably really naive of me but somewhere in that short paragraph I expected at least a hint of "sorry we took your account down for no reason" or "apologies for caused inconvenience".
This is probably really naive of me but somewhere in that short paragraph I expected at least a hint of "sorry we took your account down for no reason" or "apologies for caused inconvenience".
Short Python scripts have no concept of courteous language.
This is probably really naive of me but somewhere in that short paragraph I expected at least a hint of "sorry we took your account down for no reason" or "apologies for caused inconvenience".
That's most likely an automated message. [editline]20th January 2016[/editline] I believe YouTube is smart to just step back as quietly as possible. No apology would ever be enough to the way people are acting and to defend their position would definitely look cockish. So they will just say as little as possible, try not to get swept away in controversy, and try to come out of this still looking 'professional'.
I honestly think the only way YouTube will care about their flagging system is when somebody starts flagging popular YouTubers (Pewdiepie, Jontron, Smosh, Markiplier, ect) left and right, causing a massive uproar. And even then nothing will probably happen until their own channels start getting taken down, whether it be inflating YouTube's video viewcounts with bots (They exist, if they didn't then explain this) or going so far as to actually hack their servers. It's a shame horrible crimes have to be done to initiate change, and even then usually when that does happen it's done by someone with fairly "bad" intention. Note: Don't actually do this, unless you actually want to be declared "worst person of the year", and also deal with the angry mob of hackers coming to break down your house, "report" you to multiple drug cartels/terrorist organizations for lies about cheating them, and order several dozen pizzas. [sp]And it's all only to get worse once the TPP kicks in, where companies get a free pass to do the same thing as these trolls do, except the uploader of the video goes to jail.[/sp] I think blueNES said it best;
Fuck YouTube with a sharp, rusty pole.

what the hell am I missing here
I just found this video for the first time
Summary: Some dude has a budget PSA mascot and has a little movie floating about about anti-bullying. he's still pretty active in talking about his movie and trying to sell his idea, and it's basically like, he's a mascot performer who really wants to be the next barney or scruff mcgruff and make money with his cool character, and he's been at it for a long while LOTS of people had already made fun of the video, generic "let's watch this bad B movie" kind of reviews, IHE comes around and rambles about how awful it is. Maybe one of these days "I Hate Everything" will have a positive review of something to share but this was not that day Cool Cat dude finds out IHE made this video and it got really popular, threatens legal action for the negative press, but (as you can tell from the above video) it turned out pretty fast that it was empty threats with no legal standing. He came out of nowhere and threatened financial ruin and destruction of IHE's youtube channel (which we know from the OP vid, is his livelihood), in an attempt to force IHE to do what he wanted out of fear. There could be some kind of word for that but who knows what that is! IHE went public about the stupid attempt to silence a (totally legal) opinion piece (through entirely illegal action) and instead of not being a dick, Cool Cat continued to be a dick and still doesn't understand the irony of his actions, as he stands proudly at the top of the "manbaby in a fursuit" totem pole
It's more than that - the guy who made Cool Cat is a bit of an eccentric who feels a genuine connection to his character. It's not a matter of making a quick buck - Derek Savage is genuinely passionate about Cool Cat to an off-putting degree, and the attempt at ruining IHE's channel came from a place of passion and a need to defend Cool Cat.
so you're saying it's his fursona and he's probably just not acquainted with furries as a thing yet
Possibly. Without the yiff. I hope.
so you're saying it's his fursona and he's probably just not acquainted with furries as a thing yet
He did take the place of Cool Cat's father in the movie. [editline]21st January 2016[/editline]
A reminder that YMS did basically the same thing IHE did, but Savage responded very positively and became sort of friends with YMS online.
YMS was arguably even harsher, yet IHE was somehow evil according to Derek.
so you're saying it's his fursona and he's probably just not acquainted with furries as a thing yet
Not quite.... He's not a furry, it's more of a childhood imaginary friend carrying over into adulthood if that makes sense. He insists people say "Cool Cat Loves You" in their apologies when he threatens their channels (not in an advertorial sense to get people to say an advertising catchphrase, but as in the person saying it must genuinely apologize to Cool Cat "himself"), and he genuinely/non-ironically encourages kids to tell their bullies that "Cool Cat is my friend, and he doesn't like bullies" with a deadpan, non ironic belief that what he is saying constitutes as genuine advice. If you watch how he interacts with people both in the movie and in real life, he feels a sort of fatherly love for the character/idea of Cool Cat. It's pretty weird.
