News from makeup artist [sp]Electro apparently has electrical veins which are kinda hard to not notice, and Rhino has his organic look from the game[/sp]
I'm also not really the fan of this "Amazing" universe. I guess that's nostalgia but I really don't like the parents backstory and few other differences.

It's better than trying to cram like 2 years into the first five minutes of the movie like the first Spiderman movie did. They paced it, and didn't try to zoom past peter's teenage years. That's one of the main things that makes Amazing better in my opinion. [editline]7th April 2013[/editline] Anyway, considering they cast hugh jackman as wolverine again, it wouldn't surprise me inf they do just go for JK Simmons again.
But X-men wasn't rebooted so why would they recast Huge Jackman. JK Simmons really looks nothing like JJ anymore, which is a shame. But there is bound to be another actor out there who can do it.
What do you mean? All they need is the hairpiece and mustache again.

[QUOTE=Flyingman356;40194752]Oh, I thought wolverine was a reboot.[/QUOTE] I thought that too, but apparently it's a sequel to X-Men 3

[QUOTE=AaronM202;40197534]You realize the moustache and hair he had in Spider-Man 1, 2, and 3 were fake right?[/QUOTE]even his upper teeth were a prop remember the scene in SM2 where everyone mourns after the supposedly retired Spidey and he says "He was a... THIEF!" ? they had to take that so many times because he'd always spit out the fake teeth when saying THIEF and everyone on the scene would just burst out laughing uncontrollably
Hey guys lets make a super realistic series of spider man movies What realistic villains should we use Oh yeah the lizard and then fucking electro [editline]8th April 2013[/editline] I was REALLY looking forward to seeing venom in this movie as the big villain, then seeing him becoming a reformed anti hero in spider man 3 while teaming up with spidey against carnage.
When the fuck did anyone call this realistic?
I think it was pretty fucking clear when they started making comparisons with Sam Raimi's version And the amazing Spider-Man was pretty realistic (for a superhero movie) until the part where Pete got an awesome suit out of nowhere, or that part where he tries to explain that there's a lizard man runnin around the city
Has Mark Webb, or anyone involved in production ever said 'We're going to make a realistic Spiderman'? No. It's not trying to be realistic at all.
I don't care if he didn't say anything. The movie establishes itself as realistic, and that's what matters. [sp]it doesn't show Peter backflipping his way out of a fight with flash, it doesn't show him fighting Macho Man Randy Savage. Even the main villain, who is the most unrealistic character in the entire thing doesn't even get close to the Green Goblin's little pumpkin bombs[/sp] Sure, nobody said it was realistic, but I really don't keep up with what a director like Mark Webb declares about his movies, and I doubt most other people do. If the first half of the movie is realistic, then it's pretty fucking clear that it's most likely going to be a realistic superhero film.

Dont say "lizard" Explain how the lizard was unrealistic. And Electro. Actually, the whole concept is unrealistic.
It was dark but I wouldn't say it's any more or less realistic than the last trilogy.
My issues with the realism are really mostly with the presentation of the lizard [sp](namely the scene where Peter tries to convince captain Stacy that "Connors isn't wearing a dinosaur suit, he IS a dinosaur")[/sp] and the suit that spidey gets out of nowhere [sp]while his training place was just an abandoned warehouse, and he didn't really seem to have the resources for a suit like that, and if he did, they didn't even show a short montage on it like in Raimi's, it was just bam, suit.[/sp] Also, electro brings a lot more problems to the table. The amount of changes they're gonna have to do to the character will be much more serious issues than realism. If they change it too much it's gonna suck for comic book fans, and if they don't, then the movie will have a shitty character with a super colorful outfit and a bad origin story. I just think he's a bad choice for a villain. [editline]9th April 2013[/editline] And before you say it, those are not the ONLY problems I had with realism, just the two I can remember off the top of my head

They were going for a darker Spider-Man. Know the difference, it'll save you a migraine. Also, you realize theres multiple versions of these characters in the comics right? Electro could be based off Ultimate Electro, who doesnt look nearly as silly and i think has a far better back story. Nobody complained when they turned Doc Ock into a bad guy with good intentions being controlled by the tentacles. And before you say it, no, Doc Ock was a fucking dick in the comics. [sp]Until he became The Superior Spider-Man, he's still a dick, but a heroic dick.[/sp]
Lets end it: Its not a realistic movie, but a realistic world It deals with the problems of being Spider-Man, and just how this would play out in reality I'm not saying its unrealistic, I just would never call it "realistic"
It's much more realistic than almost any superhero movie we have right now, save for batman, and it's definitely more realistic than Sam Raimi's version And in my book being more realistic than so many other movies like it is enough for me to call it realistic. And yes I do realize they have different versions of him, no need for a condescending attitude. Still doesnt change my opinion, IMO he's a shitty choice

Amazing was more realistic than the originals in character interaction and development I think, the acting was much more solid across the board and character changes made sense
I don't remember any of the makers saying it's going to be more realistic, only darker. Which they interpreted as shooting most of the movie during night.
[QUOTE=AaronM202;40214145]You have no idea how they're going to interpret him so how the fuck.[/QUOTE] Dear god, I'm not saying its going to be bad for sure, I'm just saying it'd be a lot easier to make some other character work. And yes, you can change Electro's costume and origin, but you can't change everything about him. My main point is, Spider-Man is full of great villains, and out of so many choices they got... Electro?
they probably just don't want to re-do one that the other trilogy did

Please tell me how electro is a good choice [editline]9th April 2013[/editline] He's a meh villain with super generic powers. There's a fucking reason as to why he obscure and unpopular.

And, yes, he's an obscure and unpopular villian, that doesnt mean he's going to be bad in the movie, do you want them to rehash Dr. Octopus or something? How about instead of complaining about the choice, you wait and see how it turns out, because you're complaining about how he was in the comics, and im fairly certain Electro wasnt a 40 year old black man in the comics. [editline]9th April 2013[/editline] If you dont believe me, list all of the super heroes and villains with these powers: Flight. Some sort of lasers from their eyes. Super strength. Super endurance. Telekinesis. Teleportation. Go ahead. I'll be waiting.
