So who'd we cast as Eddie Brock?
Off the top of my head, I'd probably say Channing Tatum. Dude's got the right look for "buff asshole".

Did the bass just drop?
Looked pretty sweet.

[sp]Electro thinks in dubstep?[/sp]
Thats scene feels like a Spider-Man scene though.
Theres something ive always associated about certain electronic beats with Spider-Man.

That was pretty cool, very Spider-Man.
Also, what's [sp]IT[/sp]?
I'm dying to see this
I really dig the comic-style costume

[sp]at first i thought it might be my suspicions of gwen dying

[sp]IT is the thing from the comics everyone saw coming, and Sony teased so hard people thought it wasn't going to happen, but then it did[/sp]

So it's just a preview after spiderman 2?
Doesn't say anything about them being in the same universe.

The story behind this was that Fox originally had Marc Webb attached to them. Sony wanted him for Spider-Man, so they made a deal that the Spidey movie would have to promote the next X-Men movie for free.
Hence the clip.
Not bad business practice at all, dont see why people are complaining
Mild spoiler, wont affect your viewing but still keeping it tagged just in case

[sp]The stupidity of the crane scene makes me want to see this movie even more just to fully comprehend what the fuck you mean by "turning the planes".[/sp]
[sp]Wasn't even that stupid actually but it did feel unneccessary in the context just a bit[/sp]
Anyway, stop willingly clicking on tagged things :(

[sp]Not really much of a spoiler, just makes me want to see what the incredibly vague thing you're talking about is to see how hilarious it ends up being.[/sp]
I just read some spoilers on /co/ and [sp]WOW THEY'VE GOT SOME FUCKING BALLS FOR ENDING ON THAT SHOT. LIKE, REALLY. GODDAMN THAT'S DISAPPOINTING.[/sp]

[sp]Don't really get why they do scenes like this in films, especially the scenes its paired with is the big showdown which is pretty well done. Reminds me a lot of the bit in X-Men first class with the boats constantly going to the captains[/sp]

[sp]I thought it was a nice ending, if a little "See you in 2 years"[/sp]
Miles better than the first movie. Basically improved everything.
[sp]Gwen's death was done super well.[/sp]
The only problems I had with it were the few random pop songs that were really jarring.
And Peter and Harry's friendship could have been done better. I didn't really buy it.
I am a fan of all three Raimi films, but this was definitely exceeded them.
I just got back from watching it.
[sp]How did Richard Parker manage to procure himself a private jet to flee on?
How did he have internet access in the middle of the ocean?
Why was the guy wanting to destroy his data? I thought the company was looking for it.
Why did he upload the information to his secret lab which nobody knows exists but him? Who the fuck was going to find it? Nobody went there for 20 years. Why was his lab there? Who the fuck built it? Why did he upload the research to his lab if he did the research there?
How come Gwen was an expert in electrical grid layouts? Wasn't she specializing in molecular biology?
Why was there like 3 or 4 or 5 villains? Their motives seemed strange and I didn't know who was who. Why did a quiet and autistic electrical engineer suddenly go apeshit? Why did the police throw teargas and shoot him if he wasn't even doing anything? Why did the Green Goblin only exist as a villain for about 5 minutes? Who was the guy at the end? Why did he think he could steal that in broad daylight? [/sp]
[sp]Whyyyyyyy[/sp]
In an alternate earth, Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 4 came out and bombed for being awful. The rights reverted to Marvel and Spidey is now part of the MCU.
It hurts.
i was really excited for this film but i just got back and i gotta be honest i was disappointed. it was by no means awful but nothing really happens, it could have been so much more. green goblin actually turned out to be pretty cool though

[sp]Half of these seem like problems which are not really problems but you being picky as shit??
Maybe they were quite well off and could afford to rent a jet to be discrete?
You can get internet access in the middle of the ocean using some technology shit idk what it is but when you do a flight across the atlantic you have internet
He didn't want to destroy it, it seemed like he wanted to steal the laptop and jump out of the plane leaving the parkers to die in the crash.
Because that's what he wanted, no one to find it? He knew his research was important, but didn't want to leave it to Oscorp/bad companies so he left it in his secret lab until it was found in the future by someone good maybe someone bad idk. Does it matter who built it? and he didn't do the research just there he did it at oscorp. He stole the research and left with it so no one else could use it to prevent bad things from happening. He tried to destroy all the spiders too but couldn't in time.
Idk that was kind of odd, she kept saying "I know how to reset the grid and only I do" yet all it was is a button which you press. Bad writing
There was only 2 villains, Electro and Harry. The rest are background villains waiting for the next film. He went ape shit cause he finally had power, and then when everyone was cheering for peter it aggravated him. Plus the police were shooting at him and throwing tear gas cause the dude was glowing blue and not following their instructions. Plus it's a America, trigger happy cops. Green Goblin is more set up for the next film.
What do you mean guy at the end? Rhino? I guess they felt it had to end on a happy note as peter goes back to being spiderman? He was driving the truck at the start of the film when Peter needed to get to his graduation.
There are way more things you can complain about with this film, you just chose some really random nit picky things which can be answered with common sense and paying attention during the film.[/sp]
http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/04/16/what-would-it-take-for-spider-man-to-appear-in-the-avengers
An IGN interview with the producers had some interesting hints to where the series is heading:
"I think I'm probably a little bit of the militant here," Arad said in an interview with IGN. "I think it will take a moment in which we've run out of ideas. There's so much to tell about Spider-Man. There's so much to tell about the Sinister Six. The relationship between Spider-Man and Venom will bring a whole other world in."

"When you think about the Sinister Six and you think about Venom and you think about Carnage and you think Spider-Man in whatever way you want in association with those movies, they feel like they're built for Spider-Man. Like that's where his story needs to go and wants to go and it has to be about more than a stunt."
they're clearly taking venom a lot more seriously, as they should. and if they're already got carnage on the mind then I'd imagine that's where the venom movie is heading. Would make the most sense.
they also say an avengers crossover would only happen when they're absolutely out of ideas, which they claim to be very far from.

So, not only is it not out of the question, its actually something that could happen?
